Is that the original film car? Looks way off to me...

Edit: If I remember correctly Hot Toys was able to laser scan the original car so it matches almost perfectly. I think even the fins are just slightly different sizes like the real car. Could be making all that up though, I am sure someone on here remembers much better than I do...

Yup it looks like homemade custom build. Not an actual movie car.

Look at the lips of the headlights and the base of the curved lip below the turbine. Everything seems beefier with rounder edges.

yeah it's definitely softer on the edges in that most excellent pic.

I don't know what it is but there's some things thats starting to ruin the look for me now. Is the front slopes too steep? and the curves too pointed?

The front doesn't seem to have that slightly fat soft curve around all the angles and turbine. Especially the lower lip below the turbine.

Omg ! Why would someone do that ??? On a side note , it took a good amount of hits before giving in . Even then it withstood a good amount of damage.

You guys should direct your disgust towards Sideshow policy rather that the individual who was asked to destroy it as he was sent a replacement Batmobile.

I don't see why Sideshow cannot arrange that returns be sent to a charity instead of destroying a £400 item for reasons I just don't think stack up.

They should accept the return on the so called damaged items and either raffle them off, use them as giveaways, or resell them at a discounted price. I would love to get one of these, but cant afford it, so an option like this would be great. Seems like an awful waste to just destroy and replenish.

You assume I dislike it? You can still really enjoy something with flaws or faults it's just you are aware of them. Doesn't mean one hates it.

Can someone give me an exact width at its widest point? I know it says 16" but I'm trying to get a cabinet for it and I'm hoping its a bit smaller. My batmobile hasn't arrived yet. Thanks.

Very true. BBTS and Amazon do it all the time. There are many people including myself who are willing to overlook some flaw or the other in return for a discount. Heck I paid full price many a time for an item WITH flaws that I had to live with becuase returns would have cost me move dure to shipping and customs.

How do you take off the canopy so that batman can get inside the car? I read the instructions but afraid because I will not make a mistake and break something by mistake

It slides forward . I wouldn't worry about breaking anything ( check the video out ) it took on that hammer pretty well
