I hope the wheel base didn't change much. I planed on setting this up on a shelf a few inches smaller then the over all length of the car, but should be long enough for the wheels to rest. Right above my tumbler.

Wow, the original expected weight is approximately 16kg. Now that it's closer to 22kg, the shipping is going to be a killer since I preordered from Japan. That being said, I personally like the 1989 Batmobile more than the Tumbler.

It came from Toys Hunters on Facebook I believe.

Whether I buy this or not is almost entirely dependent upon a shelf width measurement I'm awaiting via text from my wife It's going to be close...

Is there a lead weight in the middle of this thing? That weight is outrageous! Not that I'm complaining. Weight usually = sturdy

Now to decide whether or not to bite the bullet. I don't think interest in this is high enough for it to sell out black Tumbler-style.

That should be the weight of the box with the Batmobile with the foam right?

I think it is the box. If I remember correctly I read somewhere that it was 39 inches

Sideshow's site is saying $96 to ship in California.

Man, I got a feeling the shipping is gonna be rape.

Last year, "oh, it shouldn't be more than 40 bucks to ship this" to "120 DOLLA, YOU BUY NOW".

If it's that bad in the states domestically, I can only imagine how international folks are going to feel.

We're all complaining about the shipping for this and rightfully so (though I imagine those complaints would melt into oblivion once this beauty is in hand). Now imagine had Hot Toys gone through with the 1:1 The Bat and what those shipping charges would have been.

So my shipping cost for this is another Flex payment, just to get it to TX. Man this may break the HT bank. Not sure how I'm going to explain this one....
