no matter what's used, I dont think most realize the amount of material needed to produce due to the compact size it appears to be (which it is not.)
the barrels make up over half the gun it appears and it has 6 barrels. If those barrels were end to end rather than in a circle, you'd have an oversized shotgun thats over 8 feet long.

add that with the music box feature and that may explain the cost.

as to why they havent revealed materials, I think its prety obvious they more than likely have an idea of what they want to use, but cant gurantee that until a prototype is manufacture to work out all the manufacturing kinks.
It also seems obvious theyre trying to go a direction OTHER than polystone. Im sure they know they can do polystone, but probably hope they can do some sort of metal. If they were planning to do polystone from the start, it'd already say Polystone... :monkey1

Now that the movie is out and many of the people who preordered this have presumably seen it, I was wondering if their attitude toward this item has changed at all.
I'll put a SPOILER warning here just in case, but I don't think that it will ruin anything to say that Big Baby is only used in one scene, and isn't really all that prominent. Total screen time is maybe 3 minutes. They also didn't explain anything about its backstory or anything, so even though I loved the movie, I probably have even less attraction to this item than I had before. Which is to say that it's cool, but it's hard to justify the price for something that's not an iconic item.

Well, this had already been mentioned earlier in the thread with no warning whatsoever, so I figured a warning in all-caps would be sufficient. But I changed it

I dont care if it had 2secs of screen time. its bad ass and I want one :lol

After watching the movie I can say that the Samaritan is a must-own but the Big Baby is not.

Agreed. It was a little disappointing especially after the hype of the trailers, etc. I will get it but probably in 1/4 I don't see the need for this in 1:1

This thing is awesome. I love the base:

Don't cancel the Thor PF. That thing is huge and beautiful and inspiring. An awesome piece of work, for sure. But the Big Baby is pretty nice as well.

Decisions, decisions.

This gun had 3 minutes of screen time. The Samaritan is the iconic Hellboy prop.
