OK looking at these photos from SF his value in my eyes went. I still hate the pose and his tiny arm.

It's nice. It's just not 2000.00 nice. It's more like 400.00 - 500.00 nice. I still would not buy it. But it does look better among the other CMs.

Congrats to those who love it. I just really hate the pose and the helmet just if off to me.

Basically I feel the same way about this piece as I do all the CM pieces. They are all of in some way or another to me. But I will say I have never seen one in person so I can't really judge 100%

It would be nice to have a price of 500 on this lol , but in no way that can happen, the sideshow pf is at that price range , and trust me there is no comparison , but boy buddy you have to see these in person, it's a whole different thing in person , flaws? Sure every statue has them but these really need to be seen live . Guess you will have to visit :)

It really stands out. In my opinion, it's the kind of piece where even if you only had 1 collectible in your collection and this was it, it would still be a kick ass collection.

I have always felt that Darth Vader is the most iconic movie character ever, and represents the film medium as a whole better than any other character.

When you think of movies, I'd bet almost anyone (collector or not) would name Darth Vader within the first 3 - 5 characters. If not 1st or 2nd.

You have to see this in person. I know it looks like that arm is tiny. But if it was stretched out it would be the length of the other arm. This statue is beautiful in person. The CM Vader and Predator are two pieces I won't sell.

Here is a pic of vader at home finally ,

Look like a "contemplation" room,
you go in the middle and contemplate.

May I ask if you are happy also with the pieces that have low likeness like Indiana Jones, Sparrow, Bruce Lee for example and why you miss superman?

I love this piece. I've almost joined the waitlist a few times, but 2k is a lot to spend at one time, on one piece. The problem is the resale prices on CM stuff seems consistently higher than retail, so getting a preorder or waitlist piece is the only way...and I missed the preorder.

DO it...

Anyway, it's a great piece...This is not only a CM, but it's a Star Wars Character - the most popular one, and they did a pretty amazing job...it'll hold it's value at the very least -- but it's more likely to appreciate. They will only manufacture more if the orders are enough for them to decide they have enough to warrant another production run, but the 1,000 mark is the limit...if I understand correctly...

You still have a good chance of acquiring one...if not, you can always wait for the Legendary Statue from SS...I plan on getting one of those, too =)

Order it. There is no deposit, and you will have plenty of time to think this one over (or save money).

I think a lot of you will be disappointed with the lsf vader if ss ever makes one. For one thing, they are never known to create alternate heads on the lsf series, especially for a character like vader or do it to such detailed level as CM.

Also lsf has no edition size at all and will be on sale for many years, i know it doesnt bother some but it bothers me considering the price. And all lsf will sell at a discount for a long time as evident by the ones already released.

Now that i had time to think about this, even the white lightsaber doesnt bother me as much (can always painted it myself), but the squatting pose with the legs so far apart is the only thing that still annoy me. If they kept the upper body pose exactly the same, but just made him stand normally with the legs together it would be a winner. The more I look at attakus vader 1 (remains my favorite vader of all time) the more i hate the cm pose.

Even so i will still buy this if by some miracle my wait list order gets hit, it's just too nice....

yes i am very happy with these pieces, and even indian jones, although may not have a great likeness, in person its better then in fotos. i think indy is my least favorite of all in likeness, but everthing else makes up for it, , as for superman , i do have it, but i did not care for the pose and i have cut it up to change it, i just havent completed, it, i really do like cm, a lot , dut to the size and the detail they put into these, , i have no complaints, and if i do i try to modify them LOL . i also have terminator but he was without a base for the pic,

i will have to agree with you on the lsf, but you know on the cm, i too was not too keen about the legs, i love and prefer museum poses, that is one reason i cut up superman, and plan on doing him standing, but with vader i cant take the risk with all the elecronics in him, but once i got him, the pose is not as bad as in pics, i feel once you have him in hand, you will enjoy him with legs open and all LOL, it really does give a great powerful presence,

:rotfl:rotfl Tiny arm! And he looks like he is wearing baby chest armour, so tiny! Helmet sits way too high! CM dropped the ball on this IMO.

wow you guys are nuts cutting up a $2000 statue!? :horror

it's odd you hated superman pose, I thought he had one of the better poses of all the cm statues, very iconic. Looked like a perfect statue to me. Guess we all see some things differently. :)

The Superman CM was awesome! I have Indy and Jack and would have LOVED Superman, but at this stage its become too unaffordable.
Vader however :slap ......... im glad cause hes my fave all time character and i would have just HAD to have this if it was perfect......

And whats with the neck brace being so visible?? is the helmet on that particular CM not sitting on properly?
Cause if thats how it really sits on all of them.......... :cuckoo:
