Just finished watching the new episode and I like it a lot. Had a lot of similarities to The Satan Pit/T.I.P. but had its differences. Don't know if I like the fact that Martha's mother is working for mr. saxon. She's surely going to find out who he is in the end and get what's coming to her; at least I hope.

Have i missed something about this Saxon as i dont have clue what he is. I liked the "Burn with me"

Well, rumors are that Mr. Saxon is actually the master. I'm pretty sure that's right.

They mentioned Mr Saxon in the first episode of the series, but if you weren't looking for it, you would've missed the reference.

He really came to the fore in episode six, the bad guy in that episode was working for him and although we didn't see him in person, he was mentioned several times and one of his underlings approached Martha's mother and told her all about the Doctor.

Martha's mum isn't really a bad guy though, she thinks she's protecting her daughter and the bad guys are manipulating that to get to the Doctor through his latest companion, should be interesting to see where this goes in the finale.

Nice to see Elize Du Toit from Hollyoaks back on our screens again as well, she looks just as fit as ever I see:monkey5

I dunno, something was missing for me in this episode. I wouldn't rate it near the Satan Pit but thats just me. It was interesting though that the Doctor tried to explain regeneration to Martha just in case.

He must have been talking really fast when he did that because I had no idea what he was talking about. :lol :lol Have to watch it again.

It was right before he was going to be "frozen". I dont feel like loading it up but it was along the lines of "Martha, now listen, theres this thing that happens when Im about to die" and I think she cut him off. I dunno, this season doesn't have many that I would rewatch over and over so far. Gridlock seems to be about the only one and thats only because of the Face of Boe.

I guess it shows how we all have different opinions on what makes a good episode, the only ones I haven't enjoyed have been Gridlock and 42, the others I thought were pretty good, particularly the first episode with the Judoon and Dalek two parter.

I think the shows lost a bit of it's shine to be honest, nothing to do with the new companion though, Martha's great.

It just doesn't seem like there's been as many cool monsters this year as there have been during the previous two years.

The Sun doesnt count as news. :lol

The Sun doesn't even count as anything near journalism (holds back from Anti-Murdoch rant - shame he didn't go overboard with Maxwell). Remember, never ever believe anything you read about the BBC in the Sun (because of it's blatantly obvious BSkyB bias)

Anyhow, for the rebuttal plus a statement from Auntie Beeb...

Just finished watching the episode. It was an unorthodox episode, but I liked it a lot. Hate these two parters though, want them back-to-back :lol :lol

Some food for thought....Timothy Latimer (the creepy little kid from Love Actually) is an anagram for.... 'The Immortality' Could he possibly be a time lord in the waiting? Or possibly could the doctor's son come from this episode? Or could Timothy Latimer really be Captain Jack? Can't wait to see the next episode.

I thought last night's episode was deathly dull, probably the worst since the show's revival so I hope the 2nd part makes up for it. I think the show needs a new head honcho because with RTD at the helm the Tardis barely leaves Earth orbit, the shows are littered with gay jokes, pointless references to other pop culture stuff and with the addition of Martha as the Doctor's assistant there's been the odd racial remark too all of which is completely unecessary and just smacks of lazy writing.

I loved Human Nature. I especially love the journal and stopped twice just to look at the sketches of his other incarnations. Only one I am positive about is the 8th Doctor right in the center. That settles that issue of cannon. Can't wait to see the second part.

Yeah it was the Eighth Doctor, I also spotted the seventh in there as well and it was great to see all the recent monsters in the sketches.

Daleks, Cybermen, Ood, Clockworkmen and Slitheen all made a bit of a cameo last week which really made the episode more interesting.

It was a bit slower than some of the others granted, but I'm interested to see what exactly the Family Of Blood are.

The Doctor's taken on an army of Daleks without running, so what is it about these creatures that made him hide in the first place?

I'm also amazed they got some of those racial remarks past the BBC censors, I know it's there to reflect the nature of the times and didn't find them offensive myself, but it's a programme watched by children, which makes it even more surprising they included the lines.
