Although it pains me to agree with MFB , I'm not a big fan of the first two dios either. Now I'm not going to go as far as saying they look like plastic models or they're not done well because they are, they just don't do it for me. And I own both. This eagle vs fell beast looks fantastic and I think it can stand on it's own.

PS. Making fun of John Elway? How's Jay Schroeder doing?

Moe, remember in the Weta days all those pieces you thought weren't that great then ended up loving? Well I think you'd love the crack of doom dio - detailed, and affordable! And you'd like the Helms Deep one too. They're not plasticy - it's the pure smell of LOTR polystone! And also fantastically sculpted.

Nah. I always held on to that one. It's one of my favorite pieces.

I do agree with Fritz-top though that this sculpt will stand on its own -- if only for the sole reason you can't put anything within a 10" radius from it because of the space those wings take up!!

And yes, this will be the piece-de-resistance of all the SS dios to come.

Nearly! I just need the balrog and troll - the big ones! But I SOLD my helm, weapon set and medallion collections to fund purchase of a roggy, but I can't dive straight in as other things have to be paid for first at the moment.
Have all the enviros and busts tho - apart from that large Gollum one. Would be nice, but it wouldn't really fit in! I see it as a special set apart from the other busts....like the bronze Gandy is apart from the regular statues...

Yeah, you see . . .that's what happens when we grow idle . . .you start looking for pieces you're missing. Next thing you know, you've completed them. I also have all the enviros and plaques and helms. Just missing a few medallions. Don't care for completing the weapons sets. It's the power of polystone I tell you . . .

It's possible. But, the Gandalf VS Saruman edition size wasn't announced for awhile and that's only 750...

Not exactly, Sideshow is most likely going to release the faux bronze version as stated on their auction page:

then why even bother making an auction for an item that will be aval later on? There goes the 1 ES uniqueness of it. maybe they should have went with silver or gold for the auction?
