So Robin, Harley Quinn, and The Joker will be in the show :dunno

"Gotham" showrunner and writer Bruno Heller reveals that he does indeed have plans for Batman's teenage sidekick Robin -- even if the Caped Crusader is still a preteen.

We're going to do a prenatal origin story for Robin down the line," said Heller. "There are no MRIs involved. There's an episode coming up where we learn how Robin's parents got together."

When asked about how the writing staff determines which characters get introduced when, Bruno used the incredibly popular Harley Quinn as an example.

"One of the things about the size and scope and ambitious of this production is that -- it's not that there’s lots of chefs in the kitchen, but there's a lot of people with opinions and views and inside knowledge," said Heller. "That aspect of the show -- which characters to use and when -- is a source of constant discussion. And that may well have been an issue that came up and was dropped. We haven't got Harley Quinn in it. Riddler's girlfriend is coming up. And Harley Quinn is definitely planned for later on, but so far no."

While Harley's arrival in "Gotham" may still be far in the future, Heller did discuss one villain that is poised to make his debut sooner rather than later: the Scarecrow.

"This is not a kid being a looney Scarecrow," said Heller. "This is a couple episodes about how that character has evolved -- everyone's character is formed in their childhood to some degree or another. His father is involved, as is part of the [character's] mythology."

Heller admitted that the early promotional push for the show caused them to introduce a lot of high profile characters -- Riddler, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Penguin -- right away. The showrunner promises that now that the show has settled in, new character reveals will come at a much less rapid rate. This will perhaps be most apparent when it comes to the Joker; instead of revealing the character outright, Heller reiterated the show's plans on teasing the audience with many different Joker candidates before having one of them don the terrifying clown makeup.

Aww crap, Bullock seems to be pushed to the sidelines lately in favor of stupid Bruce and Selina Cat, I mean Kyle.. What happened to the dirty Bullock from episode one? I want more Bullock, dammit!

I think he mellowed out dramatically after kamikaze hunt for Falcone, so much so that it doesn't seem like the Bullock from the pilot anymore. :lol

Maybe the actor is changing his interpretation of the character. Sometimes it takes a while for an actor to find the character so they act differently in the pilots or the even the first season, before they figure out the right way to play the role. It's very common. Next thing you know, he'll be wearing a different outfit.

Me too. I was hoping we'd have minimal Bruce Wayne exposure in this show. I'd rather keep he and Alfred on the backburner most of the time.

Just saw a new Jaguar commercial and I'm sure it was the guy who played Riddler was in it, and he had a British accent?

^^Interesting... I guess he stays in character somewhat in between takes because he sounds normal, albeit without the "nerdy" Edward Nigma character mannerisms/voice. :lol I was surprised when I heard Barbara's accent off camera.

Maybe they went hardcore with the character change and influence of Gordon. Instead of just lightening up on the dirty aspect while keeping the grittiness, they went full on good cop?

Gordon has thrown his worldview into doubt. He tries to maintain the old perspective, but can't after what he's seen.

I was impressed with Harvey Dent. Young enough to manage the future character and that blow up with the scumbag executive was awesome.
