I won't get many of these as I'm looking to get an 1/3 or 1/2 statue of Hal and may be interested in what Hot Toys may do.

Not officially, but since they picked up Watchmen and Spirit, its a no brainer, especially since this should do a LOT better than either of those.

Oh I do hope so, it'd be cool if they picked up the liscence for the comics, too.

I quite fancy a 1/6 Kyle Rayner and perhaps a Parralax Hal Jordan!!

I hope HT doesn't pick up the license actually. Green Lantern is relatively unknown in Asia and I serious doubt it will sell well. Same thing happened with Watcheman and I hope they learned their lesson.

Just before the onslaught begins on my comment, do take note that US is just a small market for HT. Their biggest market is still Asia.

How big is any western comic license (ie Batman, Spiderman, Ironman, Wolverine etc.) in Asia before the films hit? Not being argumentative just asking a question because wondering if we might not see Captain America or Thor either? :(

HT will pick up the Green Lantern license without a doubt. Whether or not we see past Hal will depend on sales. They have gotten all the DC film licenses so far. I have serious doubts over Killowog but if its a good seller then we'll see Hal, Sinestro and probably some alien GLs since its headsculpt changes for the most part.

I figure we would've heard something by now if HT was going to release figures, but who knows? As ridiculous as Reynolds looks in the trailer, I would probably still have to buy to have a HT GL in my collection. Just like I've got that silly Origins Wolvie.

If I like the movie enough to buy a figure, I think I may prefer it to be a 13" DCD one so I can have him with Bats and Green Arrow.

In this region, pretty much anyone knows Captain America, Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman, X-Men, Hulk, Ironman, before even the movies because their comics are commonly found in newstand. Their cartoons are also aired frequently.

Thor, Green Lantern, and most of the other DC stuff are pratically unknown here.

But I do agree that if the movie is done right and accessible, it might open up new interests. Watchman was done right but just not accessible at all. Most people here walk out of the cinema with a big headache becase of the layers and multiple plot lines.
