I am amazed that anyone would pay up to $115 more for any figure just to get it a few weeks early. WOW!

Some people are way too impatient IMO. But, to each his own. There have always been folks willing to pay extra to get figures early, be it from Hasbro or Hot Toys.

lol this figure is already over priced for what your getting. Luke Skywalker is the same price and you get 2 bodies with PERS heads 2 full costumes a base and the Antenna

Don't forget the significantly worse likeness you also get with Luke, at very little extra cost!

Luke really is one of the best Hot Toys deals around if you think of the per figure costs compared to nearly anything else they pump out. Not just compared to Joker (which is obviously more expensive than most because of the rights issue and the complexity of the figure), but compared to even freakin' Nick Fury, which is ridiculously overpriced at nearly $200.

But that's just because they would have a tough time selling 2 figures together for $400. Otherwise, they would have charged it.

After seeing what happened with Indy, my hopes are slim. Plus, the ex. head appears to have the same sculpt as the figures, but with painted, static eyes instead of PERS, and it looks much better to my eyes. I think PERS may be to blame on Luke, and there may be no easy way around it since he's gonna be a DX figure.

How can you say all hot toys are over prices during a discussion where you are paying a 30-40% premium to get it a few weeks early?

And we already know you are more than welcome to do whatever you want with your money.

Maybe impatient collectors willing to pay a premium to secondary retailers has been noticed by Hot Toys. And maybe thats part of the reason Hot Toys is raising their prices. Why should they get that premium instead of the retailer?

I love everything on this figure..............

except for the head (and of course that damn hat ).

Something about he face is off. I can''t quite put my finger on it. I have been looking at photos of it on and off for the last few days and every time I see it I am a little less interested in picking it up. I find myself trying to chalk it up to lighting, angle, macro etc. but I think when it comes down to it, the sculpt just isn't that accurate.

I am really considering just dropping Joker and getting another Batman.

Yeah, yeah, that's what we all say. Then Hot Toys puts out a Jack Joker 2.0 (Museum) or Mob version and then it's like, "teh old one sucks!"
