I still have no idea which Mark I want... I don't have any of em yet. Was thinking either IV, V or VI. Suggestions?

Its really hard to make an even call. Mark 4 is great because of the clean suit, round reactor and the amazing Stark head. Mark 6 is great because of the battle damage plates, grey additions and the all the little bells and whistles that it comes with. Don't know on the Mark 5 till its in hand.

Mark V cause the color is unsual (red/silver) unlike the regular (gold/red) armors we always see & the BD effects too plus the suit case.
They have diff. offers & it depends on your taste but I suggest you get them all..at least you complete his armors in IM 2 right?

On the original Mark III the gold parts are glossy and the red are more eggshell. On the Mark IV/VI the opposite is true with all the metal parts being more matte finish and all the red being glossy. Since the VI has more gold/silver it might seem like there's less gloss but the gloss on the red is identical.

I got them all because really they are all so great I couldn't settle. The IV was the start but I caved later and bought them all.

I just got one of my 6s last night, if I had to pick only one 6 would be it, its comes with everything! All the cool weapons, and a flip reveal face with helm and fully interchangeable from clean to damaged and so nice looking too! Plus when the avengers comes out you good just sell it and trade up

Yeah that probably will be true. You'd think that between people "trading up" to the Mark IV or the BD Mark III that the original Mark III would go for peanuts on eBay but you can still get around $200+ for one.
If you have to get only one of the Iron Man 2 figures I'd go with the Mark VI as well. Not for the accessories, although those are cool, just because I like the design better than the IV. Due to the wider chest plate and different color scheme, as noted over and over by myself and others, it also looks significantly beefier than the IV which I dig.

Okay I was a bit bored and did a re-color of the Mark VI in Extremis colors. While I love the Extremis in general I don't love the color scheme which I think is too much red and not enough gold.

Quite honestly, I'm not a big fan of the Extremis armor, well, not a big fan of the triangular reactor actually. I was disappointed when I first saw pics of the Extremis armor in the comics.
