Changing my story? Sorry I never typed out my childhood man crush on Hawkeye so I just mentioned the things he was lacking that made me to decide not to purchase the figure.

Ill leave the thread. Enjoy your figures.

When HT made the Abigale Whistler figure, they also included a collapsed bow and it could be unfolded to match the open bow. So I assume Hawkeye's can do the same.

As for making it light up, maybe the quiver could hold batteries in it and they could have a wire plug into the bow somewhere, similar to what they do with the Predators bio mask. It wouldn't be necessary to hide the wire it would still look cool. I know HT won't do any of this but it sounds like an interesting mod

Like you say, the won't make it but it's fun to speculate and think about it. Perhapsthey could run the wire through the bowholding arm and make the connection with the bow through the hand or something.

I did include that within my theoretical study but would that not limit the posing possibility/articulation of that arm by a fair amount?

You did miss the point of my short study. There's no need to leave the thread. This was not a personal attack on you. You gave several reasons as to why you didn't think you'd buy the figure. What I was hoping to show you was that those reasons (and I did mostly use the term "improbable" in the T+M study, not "impossible) are not likely to be tackled by HT any time soon, if they ever will, and the lack of things you'd prefer the figure to have should not stop you from buying it. ".

That's all, really.

So for you to tell me what I want and don't want is kinda lame

...Sadly, I can only go by what you yourself said.

I'm sorry... I didn't read your thesis :monkey3 ;)
This was just the first thing that came to mind when I thought about a power option. I think it could be done while keeping articulation, but it would require a different arm design plus perhaps the risk of damaging the wire inside after a lot of use...

Hawkeye has a single jointed elbow. The Mech test tony stark also has one joint and both arms can light up

I don't have that figure, but I do have HT's IM VIII.

@ Fisher-Price...I have just had an idea as to how it could work and not lose any/much articulation, using what Centrocal said as a base.

An arm like IRON-MAN's, molded as HAWKEYE's bare arm, but instead of having IM's repulsor in his palm, it gets made as a small but open socket. The bow could have a small 'plug' outcropping that fits into it - also open at that end - that in fact contains a fibre-optic strand which illuminates at the other end. The colour of the light can be set within the forearm unit itself.

HOT TOYS, if you are reading this....it is MY idea and you cannot have it.

Ok, so let's move on to the next problem. What are we trying to light up here exactly? The lens at the front or the 'tell' lights on the grip that light up when he selects different arrowheads? Either way, the light itself is tiny even in reality, in 1/6 scale it would be almost unnoticeable. Are we talking one LED lighting them all up, somewhere in the grip? The apertures for emitting the light would be so tiny that having 'light slop' would be almost inevitable, and that would look worse IMO than having no lights at all.

Sorry, just do not see how that is remotely feasible.

First off this WAS the main figure that I wanted. I have been a huge Hawkeye fan since my father passed me his Avengers collection back in 78. I loved the West Coast avengers and treasure his marrage to Bobbi (AKA Mockingbird) I was a little pissed off when Wanda decided to kill him, doing cartwheels when he came back and took on the Ronin persona. Im an even bigger fan of 616 Hawkeye when he interacts with the Young Avengers version.

So for you to tell me what I want and don't want is kinda lame. I think I have a right and I thought this was the place where I could voice my opinion about what I wanted to see.

Also last time I checked the figure was still a WIP. Maybe there is a snowballs chance in hell others might also want the same thing and someone at HT figures out a way to do it. Hell while I am at it lets get a motorized Quiver and an actual Grappling Arrow with string.

The real deal breaker for me was the fact that he didnt look more like Ultimate Avengers Hawkeye and his entire outfit while looking accurate to the movie was kind of meh it didn't do anything for me.

As for the Light who says it has to be an actual light? Maybe they could use something like Tritium illumination to give it a hint of a glow. Im sure as a major toy maker if they really put some effort and design into they COULD figure out how to make a folding bow. Hell I wouldnt be suprised if someone makes a custom one.

Also if you think he is bad ass in the movie he's twice as nasty as an assassain in the Ultimates Universe.

I want to get that Marvel Universe sized Ultimate Hawkeye from the Avengers series. I saw it once, maybe I'll wait until it goes on clearance or sale.

exactly, not to mention how much more is that going to to raise the price of the figure if HT were to put LED in the bow?

If anybody wants a LED in their bow, I say they can make it for themselves. I'll just take the version HT is selling now.

Hell, I would be very useless to IM, Thor, CA and Hulk against an alien race of beings attacking the planet. :rotfl

The hell you say? You could show the aliens your incredibly lifelike figures proclaiming, "Behold my shrink ray powers!"

Dem aliens will piss their boxers.

Am I the only oned bummed out the actor is left-handed?

It just annoys me...

Cuz comic book Hawkeye is right-handed.

What can I say, I'm a purist.:cuckoo:
