at least we get the tie fighter.

I think there were more people who assumed the TIE was an eventual Pre-Order than weren't. As for the Millennium Falcon, that's one that I'll believe it when I see it up for Pre-Order just because of the sheer size. I wouldn't be shocked though if they released multiple sections, a section of the bottom with the ramp, the turrets, etc.

Supposedly he'll be at Ani-Com. Any hope for some prequel characters? A HT Liam or Ewan would be amazing!

We kept hearing about Anakin Skywalker even back when Bespin Luke was the first, I have a feeling that some prequel characters are on their way sooner than later.

Getting people talking by deliberately confusing them is not cool - even if it's "generating interest." That's the bad thing.

And what is "People are going to make assumptions anyway" supposed to mean? The TIE's either up for sale, out there to generate interest for potential orders, or not for sale - why not just be clear up front?

It's unimportant what HT diversifies into in the future or what they started out doing - as I already said, they DON'T make 1:1 products at all, so when they make/display 1:1 items, it's obviously perceived by fans as promotional show stuff.

But when 1/6 stuff is shown by HT to the public with display cards that are the same as those for actual upcoming HT 1/6 products, it's different - and confusing.

And the description posted with the photo doesn't state it's just for the show - and it's not just because it's in slightly broken English.

I guess you just hate marketing. If it's 1/6 or 1/1 or 1/4 or 1/32(or whatever size the helicarrier is) it doesn't matter. You said it's unfair(really? Unfair to "confuse" people by posting a photo? What are we idiots?) because it confuses people. And the original discussion was because its "so close" to the other preview images. And as I stated it wouldn't matter what way it was done. Yes I'm aware they don't make 1/1 items. But that didn't stop 15 pages of people talking about the new Captain America bust when the bts image I posted earlier come out.

Until the items actually(if/when) go up for sale it's all just show and tell. To get invested or expect or confused or whatever by it is silly. They don't even release all the 12 inch tall figures because of issues. They have changed the bat from 1/6 to 1/8(or whatever it is). Something they never did, until they did. Tjey never released any mini figures. Till they did. They never released any 1/32(or showed anyway) till they did. People at always speculating and it wouldn't matter what hot toys said. The announcement they released with the photo was clear enough to me. The tie fighter...that's a bit different. But again..it's not confusing. As of now it's a piece shown at sdcc and scheduled for anicon. Until or if that changes then so be it. I don't think hot toys should need to come out and tell us what they are not making for sale, when they never said they where. Even if they had no previous/current plans for production it would be smart to not say No, when in the futur they may say yes. Then people call them liars.

Discussion (and confusion) regarding the status of the TIE and Falcon is now over. Hot Toys was directly asked what their plans were...

So TIE fighter is a definite with "pre-order info to follow soon" and the Falcon is for display purposes only - "at least for now."

:horror

It was confusing before, but now it's clear. Fans will be able to buy a 1/6 TIE fighter and we therefore can assume other 1/6 ships like the X-Wing.

And I just love marketing, especially when the featured product will actually go on sale.:yess:

That's not a spoiler, it's all well known at this point based on officially released images.

Well, your past posts have given away the title of the movie, the release date and the fact that a new Star wars film is being made. Just think before you post.:dunno:lecture

I wish they would step into the Studio Scale stuff because the Master Replicas falcon is $$ in$ane!

agree mate, im trying to get from evilbay cost me about 3K with shipping, i'd love to have studio scale from HT. but i dont think HT will match up the quality of MR

Why would you NOT want to know the title of a new SW movie and its release date?

I know. Good Yoda on the right shoulder wants to offer friendly advice and say read to get the context, but evil Yoda on the left just wants to make fun.

AWESOME! Where did this info come from ?

Because that would spoil the surprise that they made a new SW film. Some of us want to have that joy of discovery just walking past and seeing "Star Wars VII" on the theater marquee and saying "OMG - THEY MADE A NEW SW FILM?!!":dunno

The link is maybe two pages back - jediinsider.com spoke to HT.

Wow apparently I skipped over a page, thanks :) I hope the article is accurate ^^

Not sure it is. Differs from the info I've heard but maybe they changed direction. Until HT actually states it, I think it is still in question.

Well the article says "We reached out to the folks at Hot Toys who have confirmed for us..." I guess you just have to assume they actually did speak to a HT rep, but that site's pretty established.

100% not possible in the television, let alone internet age. :lol

I don't put a lot of stock in any news unless it direct from HT at this point. I am pretty sure HT has said they were going to make other items that mysteriously never were made.

Perhaps... We will see. It just differs from the info I got last week when asked the question on whether they would be put up for order...and that was from Disney. Time will tell, either way.
