I hope they release her exactly as shes shown with no changes (skin color, face sculpt). She is perfect as is regardless or her being Lex or Machiko.

Possible. Like in the beginning of AVPR where a predator was removing the skin from an alien head there were no blood or mess.

Which is silly because Aliens dont have "skin". They have an endoskeleton. Bullets bounce off the head, as shown in Aliens.

It doesn't really make sense that it's Lex as it's not how she looked in the movie. That is the reference that most people would get. And who is to say that this figure doesn't look Japanese? It's hard to tell from the pics.

At any rate - it's a cool idea. I haven't read any of the comics or books and had no idea she existed -but I'm getting it.

Maybe Angelina Jolie is gonna be in AVP 3. Maybe the sculpter has a crush on Angelina. It's a prototype though.. I think we've all seen how dramatically the figures look from prototype to finished product. So don't expect ANYTHING that remotely looks like THAT.

EDIT: As far as the skin tone is concerned, Hot Toys DID get it right, and I can see somewhat of a resemblance between the comic character and the "Jolie" sculpt.

After seeing those latest pics I don't think it's supposed to be Machiko anymore. The clan scar on her cheek, the alien head as a shield, the semi-AVP styled armour and the spear being the same one the elder gave to Lex at the end of AVP all point to the fig being a "What if?" styled Lex. While I'm much more interested in an accurate representation of Machiko, this figure is definitely well made, so I might get one anyway.

...uhhh yeah, the scar was pointed out a few pages back...

...I guess this would also be a, "what if someone else of a different ethnicity portrayed Lex as the female in the original AvP comics that hunted with the Predators"... kinda thing.

If she wasn't a tanned white, I'd be all aboard with thinking "Lex"... but uhhh, I'm not sold on that idea. Why the ^^^^ didn't anyone take a pic of the figure WITH the info card?

Edit: I would like to see Sanaa Lathan dressed 'up' like that though. Rawr.

The headsculpt does have a bit of a mocha color to it. Could have just popped it onto a Caucasian body for the show if they don't have a matching body made yet.

That's true. Looks like they coulda just mixed both characters together and popped that idea out.

I wonder if the box will say, "Movie Masterpiece" though, cuz, that'd be like... totally ^^^^ing inaccurate, lmao.

The scar on the cheek is cooler looking. I guess if the body were darker it could be an EU Lex. HT has never had a reason to do an AA female body before, perhaps they just threw it on whatever was handy for the show?
