I just hope Hot Toys doesn't pull their usual **** move and announce the two pack months after everyone already pre-ordered the regular. If there's a two pack with a death trooper, I'd get it for sure, but not if they screw me over after I've already paid off the regular. Just announce them one after another.

Imagine the curveball is he was packed with a deluxe Shoretrooper with Grunt and Squad Leader interchangeable pieces?

I could see myself picking up two packs. I'd then have grunt and squad leader shoretroopers and both rain gear Krennic and regular Krennic to display.

HT figures rarely sell out before it’s out. Hang fire a little to see if they announce other versions.

They have to include some accessories with Krennic, I mean Tarkin got his chair so Krennic must at least come with his pistol and hat. I don't see why there should be a deluxe for him, unless it's with a Death Trooper.

Yeah, Krennic is a pretty barebones figure as far as accessory choices go. His pistol is a must as it’s part of his costume. The rain hat and poncho cape seem like a given because his only other accessories would be alternate hands and stand. The only ‘deluxe’ option would have to be a 2 pack with a Deathtrooper. I suppose they could get real creative and give us something like a Death Star view screen of Jeda getting blasted.

Yep totally agree that a rain poncho and hat don't justify a deluxe. It's not enough.

As far as releasing one then a double pack later. I think HT have only done that once. It used to be always both at the same time.

Delayed releases is only asking for trouble with backlash from collectors imo.

Yeah, Krennic is a pretty barebones figure as far as accessory choices go.

Seems to be HT's style lately: bare bones figures for top price. So Krennic fits in nicely. Likely why they made him.

The Krennic 2-pack deluxe is also more a product of desire for those that missed/sold off the death troopers at this point. The Tarkin Vader 2-pack was a logical deluxe offering and far more appealing than a Krennic/Death Trooper but that pairing is collecting dust on shelves. This could make HT gun shy to offer a two pack. I hardly would put a death trooper on par with Darth Vader as a added figure for a double pack appeal.

Not saying a two pack doesn’t happen but given HT already dedicated 3 MMS releases of troopers, that could push HT to only have Krennic be a single release.
