Good, hopefully that's true. Who the hell wants Hot Toys Avatar figures?

Well ....... me :pfft:

Me too!! :rock

I wonder if we'll see anything of this license before this year ends! I'm all for HT taking their time to perfect these though!
I'm really hoping we'll see some fluorescent paint or something to make the dots on the body light up!! :rock :rock :rock

Well after we dicovered the rubber arms of HT Mars Attacks figures are falling apart, don't know how I feel about these now! Another rubber expensive arse ache potentially sitting on the shelf?

Also there have been Abe Sapiens with cracking too.

While its cool that HT pushes the limits, the longevity of their more innovative figures is constatley in question.

It was a safe enough assumption a while back when King Leo was released that the avatar bodies would be similar. They are practically nude after all. Maybe that is not true anymore, perhaps this could be one of the reasons for the delay.

who said these would be made of rubber anyway??? Until we see them no one should be saying a thing...

These were announced a while ago now with no updates since. If we should not be discussing them until we actually see them this thread would be empty. So far all we can do is guess what these figures will look like based off of Hot Toys past offerings which is cause for alarm IMO because I don't want a figure that will quickly crack an rot away on my shelf. If you believe we should keep quite until pics are shown I believe you may be missing the point of these forums.... Just my opinion

Meh im sticking to the sideshow statues for now. I'll wait til i hear somthing.

Wait.. they are? I have three of them.. they look fine to me.

Well, I read on the mars attacks thread that another member had checked his to find cracked elbow and knee rubber. I checked mine to find the start of the same. And none of these figures have been posed much. Mine have been in a detolf since unboxing. So not looking good longterm. :(

Still need to check my Mars Attacks figures... but haven't had any cracking issues with other HT figures (and I have quite a few with rubber bodies/rubber parts).

Although my Abe Sapien's bicep joint (the cup where the shoulder connects to the arm) has broken twice. I got a replacement for the first one, now I just leave it as is. It stays in place, but if you move the arm it pops out of place :cuss

No, I've never had a problem with rubber bodies before either. I guess it means u cant leave them bent in any way. My Martian ambassador was just holding up his gun. If you look in-between the ridges on the suit you can see tiny splits forming.

Hot Toys has released some pretty nice bodies without the need for rubber. Wolverine, Perseus, etc. Hopefully the Na'vi will be done that way as well.
