Yep you're right. Arm markings match better. Plus girls fighting girls.

Maybe Hot Toys will go for the full Black Order. **** !! What am I gonna do if they go and do that ??

That's not Proxima in the pic with Widow ... it's Glaive. You can tell by his color and outfit. Just look at the pattern and the belt.

You are probably right but that doll-blonde is unwatchable.
Civil War version will go up in price...or this one will need a very good custom job.

Hopefully Hot Toys will just decide to do sculpted hair instead and that will solve the color issues.

I don’t think she looks that bad but she’s probably not a pre-order for me. The costume is kinda cool on this one.

The hair isn't bothering me - I like it. For one thing - to me - it's kinda 1960's retro one-color platinum blond which reminds me of the Bond movies and that whole era or spy movies etc. I'll probably get two of her this one will be fun to play work with.

Tho I can understand with folks being unhappy if stuff is not film-accurate. Do think some of HT's choices are based on production vs. final cost.

Also I figure an afternoon with some fabric dye could make the head more SA if that's what I wanted. Tho I understand too folks feel for 200$+ they shouldn't have to do a thing to their figs.:horror I wasn't happy re CW BP having to source out a sculpt which IMO should have been included.:slap

But maybe not because of the scale issue. E.g. if you are rooting hair trying to make dark roots look natural on a 1/6 figure, how do you do that? Only way I can think of is hand tinting each and every head.

Even if they used multiple hair colors on her, you still wouldn't get the darker gradient. Maybe not lazy. People aren't happy with rising costs - not worth it to me to add $100 to cost to get gradient tinted hair.

Sculpted hair would take care of that.

Nothing wrong with rooted hair, but the execution and color of it here just looks really off. There are knockoff BW heads on eBay with blonde hair that look better than this.

The figure looks as good as Scarlett Johansson does now, so basically not as good as previous versions.

They didn't give her sculpted hair for Avengers, Winter Soldier or Age of Ultron. Expecting/hoping they'd to go that route this time around was simply delusional. :lecture
Then again, one could also say that HT, by ignoring its history of past failures, was doomed to repeat it! :lol Not that I think this is that bad...

I prefer rooted if done right, esp. for longer-haired characters. IMO w. this hair style - pretty short and not a lot of volume - don't think it would look attractive on the shelf. Taking out volume isn't hard.

I just think for this fig plastic hair - even if you get the color right - wouldn't work. You can probably tie-dye w. tea or dyes to get more color tone, or just brush diluted paint or dye.

But yeah, I know a lot of people don't wanna have to do that.

I bought a KO and it's great except it's too big for HT - lesson learned $$$$$:(:slap

That Corvus Glaive kind of looks like a 6 inch figure or something, all plastic, not HT.

Perhaps Outrider too.

Proxima was someone elses suggestion :lol. In any case, I suggested Glaive to begin with. Hard to tell with the belt compared to this pic which is pretty much the only IW reference. But to be honest I think Glaive has the highest chance of any of the being made by HT.

If he looks anything like this picture he'd be a nice one to have in the collection.

It’s a repaint of the CW sculpt, which is comforting. The blonde hair needs to be styled much better. The accessories are a bit disappointing...

Only the zipper of the vest appears movable. The zipper of the inner bodysuit is fake. So for the first time in forever, you can’t unzipped her to show more cleavage...if that really matters to you...
Of course that matters. Both my Widows are unzipped pretty far lol.
