So, no more destroying the figure yourself? That's good. They must have realized what some of us already realized. "Hey maybe we can re-use the good parts". DOING.

I could be totally wrong, but I'm thinking the destroying of the figure might have had something to do with overseas shipping costs. SS would have to pay for them to ship it to SS and then pay for the replacement to be shipped...maybe someone just figured since they're already losing money (I assume) on having to replace so many figures, that the overseas ones can just be destroyed. Again, just a theory. Could also have been someone's bad idea that got corrected

I had bought a huge piece of velvet , which had a rayon type material on the reverse side , it was perfect . It was like 12 bucks from Joanne fabrics . The cutting sucked because i had to lay out the original HT cape and pin it down to make a template then trace that onto the velvet . The end result i was happy with . I still want Iforignos HERO though . With the piece i bought , i made like 4 capes $12 bucks

So the pattern of your cape comes from the stock HT one? If so, then I will copy my HT one on my rayon fabric. I want to make a shorter version. The one I have right now is just as long as ilforigno's.

So I'm waaaay behind in this thread, but decided to jump ahaid a bit. Did I miss anything important since page 280?

Finally heard back from SSC...they are sending me a full replacement. They will check it for defects before they send it out.

See, I don't want a full replacement. I just want the broken boot replaced. Everything else on mine is perfect and I don't want to chance getting one with good boots but a shiny forehead or goofy abs.

Yes, they are replacing just the damaged boot if that's all you need.

Lance's Hero template cape is awesome... He sent me the velvet one on accident, and I'm so glad he did...the velvet rocks!

Actually the custom cape i have on my NEW Batman is a template from my Takara Bats . It fit like a glove . and i had already attached the triangle clips directly to the cape for my TDK OC Bats (now he is the harness batman) . It was a match

I wanted my full replacement for sure! I had dented abs (the worst I've seen), broken ankle, and broken off fist with peg stuck in the arm hole... My Bats looked like he got in a fight with Supes

Ahh yes, good theory. Still, peeps were saying this was SS's standard policy. Not sure where those guys are from. Anyway..with THIS figure and so many problems it would be wise For SS to get back as many as they can and create a parts bin. Just my 2 cents. Congrats on getting a replacement..that dent was pretty bad.

My brother and I opened up his copy of this figure and thankfully none of the reported damage was evident. The only defect was at the collar where it had folded in on itself and got stuck. I straightened it out and am confident it will look fine as the rubber relaxes back to its original form.

Thanks man! Yeah, I'm super stoked to get a replacement finally...I think if I get another one that has issues, I'll just get a refund and call it a day Maybe not...I really love this figure...and if I don't get the CB sculpt back my Bruce Wayne will be headless

That's why I'm afraid to use tape to clear dust. Might peel off the finish.

I got my Bruce Wayne/Batman Begins figure this morning and started opening it before the UPS man left my driveway. I checked everything, every things there, no dent, or broken foot. I did notice that the protecting plastic wrap was a little stuck to the rubber body, but it pulled off without any problems.

When I started to adjust the straps I had to unbuckle them to move them around because they didn’t want to slide. I didn’t have any problems switching the right hand or the left, but when I went to turn the left hand the pegs didn’t rotate. I also couldn’t get it to turn in or out, it was completely stuck. So much that when I took a small set of pliers to try and free it up it snapped off up in the forearm.

I guess now I’ll have to go and buy a small drill bit to try to “hollow out, insert small screw and pull” trick to try and remove it. Other than that everything else looks good.

Well the drill/screw, and pull trick didn't work. Whatever has that peg in there has it good, I called Sideshow by phone and the woman I spoke to didn't give me any trouble at all. She was more then happy to transfer me to the return department, but I told her I want't to try and fix it myself first. Now that I know it's not going to happen I'll be calling tomorrow for details on a return.

I really hate to send it back, I'm worried that the second one might have the same problem, the dented abs, or the broken right ankle. I wish there was a way to just get a new forearm or arm all together.

By the way, she did say that eight other people had called with the same problem (stuck wrist peg) so it's not like I'll be telling them something they haven't already heard. I'll post again on how the return goes.

nah not those strong adhesive types, just saw it in strong light, the belt area and the butt haha, just beware guys when adjusting the belt

True, except that it's the suit that Bruce wears in TDK So only Bruce can wear it It'll be waiting for his head...
