I WANT SOMETHING LIKE THIS, I HAVE BORED BY THE SCULPTS WITH NO EXPRESSION, MORE EXPRESSION GIVES MORE LIFE IN THE SCULPTS SOMETIMES

No, it's because I said I thought the preview image was crap. Thats all! I used the sacred word that shall not be used, ever.

It has almost become a comedy thread.

Seriously, drop it. We get it, you hate the preview, and you wouldn't be alone in thinking that. They was I see it it wasn't the word itself, but the way it was used; unconstructively.

YES! :chew

The main problem with reusing the Marcus head is that it feels like Marcus, quiet, staring, subdued. Great sculpt for that character. Now I have seen Clash (not great, ok) I can say 100% that the Marcus sculpt is completely wrong for that character. Yes it is sam worthington, yes his hair is similar, but the expression just does not fit. that poster fits, any of the press released stills fit. Sam has a hard as nails look throughout the movie, not pensive and quiet.

Yes, remember Leonidas, but his subdued headsculpt was still Leonidas. So we ended up with 2 great sculpts. Great if HT are gonna give us another head with Perseus, but that one is just not right. IMO

I can agree that the expression should be changed to one with more raw emotion....I just think the headsculpt makes up only a small portion of the figure...further the expression only makes up a portion of the headsculpt...so I find it a poor analysis to rate the figure solely on that expression.

The head sculpt should look like this poster. The one they are using is stupid in my honest opinion.

I wouldn't mind that, but something to consider is it somewhat limits what scene it can be from then.

You may find his iconic scene or what you most want to represent the character differant from others. Thats why most larger companies like Sideshow and Hot Toys do so many neutral expressions. Now it does piss me off when they choose to do an expression and don't go with something very associated with the character, like Aldo Raines for example.

the more i look at the poster the more i believe while the current HS is not crap that a screaming hs would make it a sure buy for me.

a mere change of a HS doesn't take something from crap to awesome though.

I think anytime a company has done a screaming head, they have done a neutral head as well and included both.

I remember a DID machine gunner like that, and Leonidas.

So I think theres a good chance they could still add one. Remember we don't even have official pics yet, just a teaser.

Remember that they tried an open mouth head sculpt with Ironman BD and the studio/actor so no and made them use the one from the previous figure. Could be the same thing here.

While likeness approval is a possibility, most likely what has happened is they wanted to get pics out on the same weekend to coincide with the release of the film, strike while there is interest as opposed to what happened with Watchmen, and the head sculpt wasn't quite ready so they went with a mock up teaser picture using the existing Marcus head. This is not a solicitation photo obviously. If so, they should have perhaps added a note saying such. Time will tell. But there is no pleasing every demanding, grumpy, entitled collector. If a company doesn't release photos quickly enough they get pissy message board rants and if they release early wip prototype pics they get pissy message board rants. :huh

I just got back from seeing the movie. The gf thought it was okay because of Liam and Ralph Fiennes being cool gods, but I thought it was borderline terrible. So, pass on the figure for me even if it turns out great.

At first I thought the situation I faced was somewhat similar to the Terminator: Salvation movie and line of HT figures, wherein I bought the figures even thought I thought poorly of the film, but this isn't the case with Clash of the Titans.

The movie was kinda on the sucky end. Hot tub time machine was much better.

A yelling head would be great, and it could be part of the problem that they emulated that poster image, but used a subdued expression on the headsculpt. Perhaps the head will be different, perhaps there will be 2 like Leonidas. We don't know.

Inaccurate Medusa Head ... The beheaded head has decent looking female face, blank staring face (it maybe).

Fanged face (as some-what-like the teaser, but longer) is only when her head is attached and during her transforming attack... That was shown probably 4 times in the movie.

So, Medusa should have a face sculpt able to tempt Poseidon or at least a decent female human-like face.

Actually both the Poster and Hot Toys teaser (imitating the Poster) are inaccurate... And the face expression of Perseus and Medusa should switch. Blank stare for Medusa, Shouting/Screaming for Perseus. Light up eyes for Medusa (like Wesker)

While I usually like this kind of theme, it's too holywooderish and not enough mythology, I'll easily skip this one. Thanks HT for saving me money.

For all we know a second head could be waiting for approval.
Hot Toys might not want to reveal this new head, as the danger might be that it gets the thumbs down by Warner, and then we have the whole Battle Damaged Iron Man fiasco again

I'm glad I'm going to see this on Two for one day at the cinema, it sounds like it's not up to much.
How could they mess up Clash of the Titans for Cris Sake
