I don’t get HT and their nomenclature. Why does the Sith speeder make it a DX release while the emperor and his chair is just a ‘Deluxe’ version?

DX have PERS and generally two sculpts/faces.

DX is for pers and double sculpt. This DX comes with or without speeder, and each one may come with or without Sidious hologram... making 4 different versions.

I would've preferred a sculpt where hes gritting his teeth rather than screaming but it looks good. Not a fan of the carved tattoos.

Definitely want to pick Maul up with the Speeder. I hope they do more Star Wars DX in the future. I've always thought a Bespin Solo + Carbonite would have made a great DX release.

And this is the first Hot Toys Star Wars vehicle that is actually being released right? Bodes well for future releases hopefully - Endor Leia/Luke or Scout with speeder bike would be great Still think they missed a trick by not releasing a Landspeeder when ANH Luke was released.

The character exists beyond The Phantom Menace though. The extra head is an EU option, similar to Sideshow's first Bossk Exclusive.

Maybe the hissing teeth version is being saved as an extra for a Solo crime lord release?

Yep this looks more like the Maul from the comic books,cartoons and video game...rather than TPM.

They still might tweak the sculpt's...as they've done it before with other figures...

Imagine if he came with a swap out lower half with mechanical legs. They he'd double as a Clone Wars Maul and that second sculpt would be right at home.

I like the 2nd sculpt and all, but I don't remember him ever making a face like that in the movie... Then again I haven't seen it in years. Time for a refresher.

I'm gonna stick with the non speeder version... with all these new reveals i gotta cut spending as much as I can.

This will be expensive for sure. This is how you make a figure, really nice set. It was insane that ss left out the robe on their v2. I am getting this to finally replace my maul v1. One nitpick, I wish the stand matched the normal ot/pt stands. Not a fan of the stand. Oh well, the speeder looks great. This will be a nice detolf display.

I do wish bespin leia was the release today, to make sure she gets made. I guess no leia Luke or Han announcements until old leia and Luke ship and young han ships.

I'm wondering about the stands, as both versions say the same thing:

That sounds like the one they show with the Standard. But the Deluxe only shows a non-dynamic Speeder stand, which hasn't been listed.

Presumably the Deluxe will have two stands.
