Not totally sold on the expression. Not for such a dynamic pose anyway. Very calm looking, more suited to a hooded, at ease, Darth Maul IMO. I bet it won't be the only Maul from HT but i hope they'll add a more menacing HS eventually.

Yeah, the eyes look a little dull, they don't have that piercing gaze, at least not that can be seen so far.

This would be the determining factor for me.

No cloak = pass

Would be strange to offer a Tatooine Maul with bike and ball... and no cloak.

Obviously con shots aren't always the best, but the face doesn't have the "alive" quality I'd expect from HT, right now it reminds me of the Sideshow PF.

I'm really liking the more menacing expression myself. He looks evil as f--k.

Not sure what others see.. but I love that expression. I see an ice cold stare that's perfect!
I'm sure he will have his cloak too.

I’m not even concerned about HT not including the cloak. I’d say 100% chance they will include the cloak.

Maybe a deluxe version with the Speeder and a regular release with just the figure, similar to the Emperor releases?

Same here.

Not sure why people think this looks dull compared to the SS, which is basically just a blank stare...plus the SS has a hideous seam. HT one ups them once again IMO.
