I remember people bagging me when I said the DX10 looked like arse. :( Put it up against a good sculpt (ie DX13), and wa-hey.

Still, it doesn't look bad with the sunglasses.
Yeah, with sunglasses, it's still a pretty good representation (I go back and forth on it, admittedly, but I've been liking a lot of the recent photos in the DX10 thread). Don't think we'll be getting another clean version for a long time.

im so surprised terminator is winning...sure it's cool but the Hulk is amazing and quite impressive when it's in scale with other 12" figures. It's just wows me everytime I look at it. Terminator is nothing new or we haven't seen.

Hulk isn't even in scale is he though. They made him too big!

And his head's too small.

Seriously though, I just don't get the love for the Hulk doll. I understand it as a love for the character and a giddy girlish excitement to finally have a doll you can take to bed with you, I'll give you that. But this Hulk doll is only a few steps more complicated than 1/6th Jabba the Hutt from 2007.

:D

I think a lot of these figures are quite good, but folks may be a bit biased against them because of the Hot Toys obsession with Iron Man and Dark Knight. Mark VII Iron Man is a phenomenal piece of work from an engineering standpoint. Way better than the figures of him made before. And that Joker is really awesome, with all the different accessories and options, and fact that he comes with the great Kato clothing. Hulk is an impressive piece due to size, but like others are saying, other than that kind of meh, because he's so basic. Nothing wrong with him, it's all serviceable, but size is pretty much all he's got going. DX-13 seems to be the best, though I haven't seen him in-hand. I think the production sculpts/paint apps being a bit "soft" are the only drawback I've really noticed about him. But the detail, options, and eye-catching nature of that figure makes him stand out. If they gave T1 Terminator that kind of attention and love, I would be a happy camper.

Glad to see I am not the only one that sees the Hulk as not being the top figure.

That's because he's not. People keep confusing the whole "figure I always wanted" to "figure of the year". I have hulk, and he's boring as hell to me now.

As stated elsewhere on the board, Hulk is big @ss accessory piece to complete the Avengers set. Most people don't care for him by himself as a stand alone centerpiece. I love the Incredible Hulk but I skipped the Hot Toys version and bought a statue because it was just better.

All said and done, DX13 has blown everyone else in this line-up out of the water. Yes, even the green guy. Terminator gets nearly 50% of the votes out of almost 274. That's fairly impressive I would say.

DX13 just received my vote as well. Got mine yesterday and what a beauty. Joker 2.0 is on 2nd place for me.

Can't believe the dx13 is winning by a landslide. Thought Hulk would at least be in a close second.

I guess this puts the "major win" for Hulk in the Marvel section poll a bit more in perspective.

Did you by chance keep track of the "other votes" and what those were for? I'd be curious what other figs beside 3PO people were voting for.

Well, it also could mean that a lot of Marvel fans just don't venture out also. Hulk has 44 votes in the other poll from a smaller field.

But yes, DX13 is the clear leader.

I think a majority of them were for the QS001 and 002.

This is a subjective poll. There is no right or wrong answer.

Hulk is obviously some collectors favorite figure that they got this year, and there's nothing you can do or say to change that.

And for the record, I did not vote for Hulk. I voted Mark VII BD Version.

I feel the opposite. I did not like the Sideshow statue. I thought it lacked the details found in the Hot Toys figure. (I know you may not have been referring to the Sideshow statue).

Best figure for me this year is EB BD T800. The second best figure for me was BW Carlito's Way. Then the HT Hulk. These are the figures I cannot help but stare at in my collection. Whatever your opinion is, it was a great year to be a collector!
