^^^O if only it looked like that ..but sticking the real eyes and mouth on there shows how realistic the rest of the sculpt is ..i thought that was a full head shot of downey at first

Amazing detail and paint, awful likeness. IMHO.
There have been a few HT releases of late with this eastern eye problem. Did the same artist work on this as MJ bad?

Yup but no more changes ..this is the final product

I think its a combination of RDJ not approving the sculpt and Hot Toys running out of time. I really believe this SHOULD be a prototype and WOULD have been fixed. HT totally would have listen to our input and corrected it.

The fact that its the first time we're seeing it and it says 'Final Sculpt'. This is what we get- End of story. We can't give any critique thats what really hurts the most. Cause I know it could have been better

War Machine's Rhodey sculpt, The Spirit figures all except SLJ, Ghost Rider's Nicolas Cage sculpt and the skull for that matter, Edward Scissorhand sculpt, The POTC Davy Jones figure (the damn thing is midgety), The Superman Returns v1 and that's on the top of my head. HT like any other company has had plenty of sucky misses. There are saving graces for some of them like War Machine who other than the sucky sculpt is pretty neat but HT is not above reproach.

In all honesty all of the RDJ's sculpt have been off, the Mech-Test the best version but still not perfect. Luckily as folks have posted, they'll be a ton more on the way between the rest of the IM2 and Avengers figures.

Bam! Its the eyes. Making them bigger even eliminates the other knitpicks.

Not just the eyes - the overall shape needs to be like an inverted triangle, which that gif illustrates

Man Kojun is pretty consistantly off and on with his sculpts. Its like every other sculpt is gold but the one immediately after less quality. Its like he loses his powers and has to recharge

So his next sculpt should be amazing
