Funny, I remember reading the Mech Test Tony thread and seeing so many people complaining that the sculpt looked nothing like RDJ, now people are saying that MTT figure is great. Wonder if it might be some of the same people?

Funny, someone mentioned how great the Whiplash figure is, yet when I showed my wife the pic's she thought it was a poor likeness, I guess everybody somehow sees the same pics in different ways.

I must not be too discerning, as I think this sculpt is great, and even better than the Mech Test Version, which was good as well.

Kind of figured so. It's been a long @$$ time since this figure was previewed and they said 4th QTR....they've got to get this baby shipped!

Doesn't bother me any though...still think it will be great.

Still trying to decide whether to keep my po. IMO the sculpt really is lacking but the suit articulation, movable fingers and the neck going into the suit is the positive aspect of the figure. What to do

Really disappointing headsculpt, can't remember the last time I was this disappointed with a sculpt. I'd be stoked if I wanted to do a Raul Julia bash though though.

so your guys only complaint is the RDJ head? . I dont know if you have noticed, but they are all off in some facial aspect. If you guys want a 100% accurate sculpt, i suggest you all get a custom made cause in my eyes, every one of the RDJ sculpts have been off on every IM figure, so im not sure why some of you sound so suprised. Theres a lot of RDJ heads out there.

In some ways i think the original m3 sculpt ..although lacking the improved paint apps and realism has the best likness to rdj.

what i have seen, is that everyone has a different opinion about which head looks more accurate, if thats the case, is it really that difficult to mod the heads to fit? Has anyone posted compared pics of the Mark III to this one yet? I havent kept up with this thread, is the RDJ head the only let down for this figure?

It's not perfect but it's not as bad as some of you make it seem. But I don't really care since I just want the armor and won't display the head anyway.

The only other major worry from the proto pics was that the figure looked very thin ..but it looks like they fixed that going by these new pics.

better than the Mark III? They are both so similar and i have neither.............contemplating which i should get.

That one is more paint job than sculpt IMO. Similar to 80%+ of bad looking Sideshow figures.

Hmm... weird how two sulpts of the same actor by the same sculptor look so drastically different. Like most people here, I think he looks asian (kinda looks like my dad. lol). Funny thing is... The new pics made me order him. Haha... Want me a Tony Stark from IM2. the MK IV suit still looks damn skinny though, compared to the on-screen counterpart.
