The SAs at toy hunter told me end of the month. But yeah, I'm glad this is finally released this month
Some of these mods do nothing but freak me out and not improve the sculpt. Its not dead on but close for me personally. Also I'm not sure why folks are taking the time to say tweak this or that. Final production means just that.
Also anyone really ever wonder how much it annoys these artists to have folks sit here and do mods like this? Just thinking outloud.

Well since it's a final sculpt closed to any more changes, posts of modifications shouldn't hurt anybody, except for overly sensitive people. I do agree though that some of these mods look wildly overblown.
As for the potential of artists being annoyed, it's something they should expect before getting into the business. And it's not as if it's the first time photo manips have been done for a collectible here.

I would just like to point out that RDJ does not walk around with big eyed expression the whole time
The problem might be the old whites of the eyes showing underneath the iris again

I have a general Iron Man question. Don't want to start a thread about it, but being a noob to Iron Man, here goes....
When Tony Stark is in the Iron Man armor, is he wearing two arc reactors? One in his chest and and one in the suit or is the reactor we see on the suit the one from his chest shining through the armor?

No... ArcReactor is inside his chest cavity..... Chest Repulsor Transmitter , RT, is on the armour ..... which is also a reason why ArcReactor and the RT dont quite line-up.
On WM and Mk.2 worn by Rhodey .... the Chest RT has been removed and the ArcReactor is in its place.

Yeah it's a crude job as I said, but what I'm trying to point out is that the whites of they eyes only show underneath if your looking up and not moving your head in that direction. It looks a little unnatural that he's staring straight at the camera, but the whites of the eyes are showing underneath
Talking of lookalikes Wagner looks abit like Downey Jr crossed with Whiplash

Though my posts here weren't meant to evoke some change in the sculpt, we know that Hot Toys does read message boards and their Facebook comments, and sometimes makes changes based on criticisms and complaints from collectors. I agree that you could stick a fork in this figure's sculpt for the time being, but they have released improved sculpts for existing figures (John Connor), and if nothing else, the complaint might help HT to understand that collectors aren't content to accept some Latino or possibly Asian guy for future Tony Stark sculpts. Maybe not, though.
As for the artists, they are working not for the joy of the work, but for cold, hard yuan (or won). They are producing a product people have to pay money for. These people have the right to speak with their keyboards and paypal accounts if they aren't getting a product that they think is up to Hot Toys' potential.

he does a bit ..I got a question ..at the star of ironman 2 tony comes out of the ironman armor in a suit ..how does his arc reactor shine trough the chest rt if theres a few layers of clothes in the way? ..and yes i know its just a movie
