Re: Hot Toys Iron Man Mark IV in hand pics
so first thoughts , well i am so pleased with this purchase , it is a great improvement on what was a terrific figure , the mark III bd version , this new mark iv is more lifelike in that it is in perfect proportion. it looks like a man in a suit , not a toy , superb mechanics in its construction.
the fully articulated hands make the other sets pointless for me , they are so well constructed. i love the new stark sculpt , although my daughter just turned up , took one look and asked is this the Espanol version , she thinks he is too tanned , i dissagree , looks fine , not bloated like in the "backstage pics" , the figure comes with helmet on , it was a real hard job to get the armoured neck off , once done , a thin collar is dropped into the neckball area and the stark sculpt put in. a very tight fit , it pushes the slim collar right down , will probably ease with use.
the hands pop off easily enough , i cant get the chest piece off , and i'm not going to force it, in order to have the forearm rockets on show you have to remove the plating , not yet done , the optional stand is fantastic and well detailed , with a light up feature and the same plastic rod and figure clamp that was included in the mech test tony stark set
