That is some superb, and perhaps more importantly realistic looking, articulation.

Not true. The mkIII looks even worse in the abdomen from the side than from the front. I still maintain the IV isn't too skinny. In direct comparison to the promotional images of the "real" suit it's all but identical.

So it was a stylistic choice for HT to make the Mark IV slimmer, and even they know it's thinner than it's supposed to be. How does making the overall figure slimmer enhance articulation? Maybe the neck would benefit from that, but nothing else would.

I don't see any issue with the legs though.

says them.

exactly.

it's easy to spot bull____. but hey, maybe mark III came out so skinny on purpose as well, to enhance articulations. yeah, maybe that's the reason... except we have mark IV now, which is fatter than mark III and is better articulated. seems to me then that the fatter the mark suit the more articulated it can be. :lol

Definitely. It makes no sense to me what HT is saying. Perhaps they know something we don't, but everything that has been released and shown in the overall Iron Man (1 & 2) contradicts what that line in the Milk Magazine article reads.

Granted, many of their figures are thinner than they're supposed to be, unless it is TDK Batman.

As far as the "legs not straight" and "torso made thinner for articulation" we're assuming the translation is right. I would guess that the leg thing is supposed to mean something more like "legs with a more natural curve" although them mentioning the legs at all is odd.

OMG's translation was:
"2) HT decided to make MK IV slimmer specially the chest armor for better articulation."
so his translation may be off but your quote of him is definetely wrong

Pedantic much? That hardy has anything to do with the point I was trying to make. The legs quote isn't correct either, I was just throwing some words together so you'd know what quotes I was talking about.

just when you are trying to re-interpret what OMG translated and your starting point is off.... It just popped out at me that I remembered him mentioned specifically the chest being slimmed down but in your mesh up it ended up being the Torso. I figured you found it important enough to mention so it might be important enough for you to see again what he said

More detail translation -

HT slim down the muscular thick chest armor for better posing

HT's MK IV slimmer body line looks a lot different compare to the muscular movie CGI version, this is because HT want the MK IV to have more articulation and more poseable (I think this make no sense but this is what the artical said)

HT MK IV legs is been designed to be curved, so when you pose the MK IV stand straight, you will get a "O TYPE LEG"

*** O TYPE LEG is a cantonese word meaning when standing straight, both legs are closed to each other, the legs will form the letter "O"

My english is not good but atlease give me some respect for doing the hardwork :banghead:banghead:banghead
