Man, I feel lucky. I found out about this figure, pre-ordered it, and received it all in a span of about 2 weeks. And it's already disappearing.

I feel kind of unlucky as I went back to AE to purchase the VI and it was gone. :gah:

Hoping they'll have a cancellation or something and I can get one from them.

If not, not really a big deal...the IV will suffice as it :rock's

Wow this really is disappearing. The cheapest I our find it was 220. Glad I have one and point taken. Pick up every marvel piece as soon as they come out.

as far as i can see on my mk IV i dont have any problems,,kinda lucky i guess ,glad i grabbed this sooner rather than later if its already drying up with the sellers

Just got mine delivered a half hour ago. WOW! Amazing piece!!! Gotta start by displaying him with the Tony head and glasses holding the helmet with those super cool posable fingers. :rock

Can't wait for the Mark VI and V now...Oh, and bring on the IRON MONGER!!!! :yess:

That's what I'm doing. You gotta display that HS it's the best likeness of RDJ as far as I can tell. Better than the Tony Stark Mech Test version.

I actually got it through Sideshow, so getting a replacement should be no problem. It's just frustrating. :(

And you guys are right- If you spend almost $200 on a figure, you shouldn't settle for less.
Batty,
What is SSC having you do?
Are they sending you a small pre-paid padded envelope or small box to package the helmet in?

Also, I'm assuming they're not having you ship the entire figure but just the helmet...right?

I'm just curious as I've never worked with them before but knowing how a vendor addresses issues like this is something I always keep in mind when making a purchase.

Thanks.

The Mark VI on ebay someone won it for 222 but the shipping is $45. Damn, $267 for a figure that just came out. Plus some are selling it over $200 plus shipping. Marvel pieces are very expensive. Wolverine is now in the $350 to $400 range. Blade 2 is approaching the the same range.

damnnn maybe i should think about selling my wolverine

Got mine today. I'm so afraid of breaking it. It's an amazing piece. I need to take a class on posing this thing because everything I do makes him look constipated.

Most of those hong kong based Seller's always charge more for the first batch they get, it's like there saying "If you want this fig right now you got to pay extra for it" ..and anyone who does pay that just so they can it first is an ***** with no patience imo.

I thing we're looking at five more Iron Man hot toy figures between the Avengers and Iron Man III.

@Nick-Can i ask you something what are you going to do with 5 Mark VI?I mean i understand 2 even 3 but 5,that's a S#!T load,WOW!Enquiring minds would like to know!☺

I wouldn't go as far as saying they're idiots, but there is a price to pay when you're an early adopter.
Personally, I can wait.
There isn't anything that I need so badly that I need to be among the first to have it.

Anyone else have trouble with the forearm gun plates?

Everything is there with mine, but one of the little doors was loose. I had to glue it in place and got a little glue on the paint job.

Then the plates don't fit very well, and while trying to coax them into place another door fell off. Had to glue that one too, and despite my best efforts I got more glue on the paint job. :gah:

Never did get the plates to sit perfectly either...

Well it goes like this...

I pre-ordered 3 from CSC just in case any have defects or I decide to display clean and BD.

Then, I talked to a guy in HK who got them last week and I got them for US retail (plus international shipping of course) so I ordered two through him because I'm and impatient *****, to quote an above post.

Can't cancel the pre-orders from CSC since they charge a 25% fee so I figure I'll just hook a board member or two up with the extras. I may even let go of one of the two that are coming next if I'm feeling generous :D

Yeah, that's the only thing that sux about CSC is that damn restock fee!You know they allow a one-time only cancellation fee free!I had to do that with the T1/T-800 and an xtra Mark IV.I feel ya bro but like you said there will be plenty of interested fellow freaks.GOOD LUCK!☺
