When do you guys think we'll actually get these...all of them for that matter? All 3 of my PO's say 3rd QTR...is that really going to happen.

Anyone have a guess from the previous line or Hot Toys history with product? I've only been collecting since December so I guess I don't really know their track record yet.

And may I just get this out of my system even though it doesn't belong in this thread but....

WHERE IS BLACK WIDOW ALREADY!!!!!

Whew, there feel better now. :)

Where is black widow u ask .....in ironman 2 i believe:rolleyes: ..where else would she be!?

Spoiler on the Armour (not IV in particular) and IM2

Mark 6 retained the micro-munations like BD Mk.3, maybe Mk. 4 should have it too..
RDJ with donuts should also show signs of the palladium poisoning too around the neck "rash"

From these two pictures we can see that the curves on the side of the mask (gold area) are a lot better now. The 'cheeks' didn't protrude as much on the previous figures and weren't curved as accurately. I was wondering why the Mark IV figure had a better looking helmet and well, there's one of the reasons.:D

Your welcome to disagree with me, but the paint job on the MIV looks pretty good to me and if the battle damage m3 is anything to go by i think it will be fine, ..war machine may need to be a bit darker imo and i know that matte finished look isn't everyones cup of tea ..but i don't recall him looking shiny like ironman ..so ya thats how i see it anyway.
Neither of them should be shiny, actually. And that's not what I would be looking for in improved paint application. The coloring on both the Mark IV and War Machine Hot Toys figures are too consistent; if you look at the high resolution images, you can see that the paint is far from consistent. All of the endless variations in the paint is what helps it look less like plastic and more like metal, despite being a matte finish. Without those variations, War Machine's finish doesn't look much different than the $5 Hasbro toy. And the Mark IV looks like a brand new car instead of a suit of armor.

Spanbauer, I'm not sure if you own the BD MIII yet or are planning to, but the paint job actually has quite a bit of variation in it. If you look at it closely, the red paint especially has a very metallic look to it, not by being shiny, but by there being almost a dull texture all across the suit in the paint that makes it look varied and metallic. That's really all I can say to describe it. When I got the figure I thought it was smudges or something but it's actually a paint technique that adds variations to the application of the paint much in the same way painted metal looks. I'm not explaining it well at all, but somehow Hot Toys did it.

Please stop saying awesome stuff about the figure ..coz i dont have it yet! and your making the wait even more difficult! :banghead
:lol

But think about how awesome it'll be when you get it! You're actually looking forward to it, so it'll be double awesome. I wasn't even going to get it until I saw it in person.

I will be getting my one in about 3 weeks ..having it should make the choice 2 pass on the m4 easier id say,but im all 4 getting the M6 when thats announced!

I was pretty much in the same situation as you Limit-Non-Existent. But I just had to pick up the BD mark 3 for its gadgets. The mark 4 has too little to play with. (no shoulder cannons and arm shield) also, i ain't really buying the skinny design of the armor in IM2. Maybe when they have the mark 6, then i may consider getting that.

Is it just me or does this pic with the chest bit removed look fake and shopped??

i like this iron man figure i'm looking for the lowest price but i'd spen the money on it as i would the 13" wolvrine. i wish marvel would make 13" action figurs like the DC to where they didnot look like real actors but its cool the likeness is so real.
