Hot Toys - Iron Man 2:Mark IV Limited Edition spec

Expecting mine thursday and if that neck is indeed that long, I will nor keep him and opt to keep the regular version instead.

I'm not the most fickle of Hot Toys fans but that long neck is a deal breaker for me.

Congrats on him arriving though and hope its all you want it to be! Would suck if the neck bothered you too much. Know what you mean though were everything else can be perfect, but if there can be one thing that just screams at you everytime you look at it and cant *really* enjoy it

Dark Knight DX man. Friend of mine got it. I was dead keen to buy it until I saw the neck. Put me right off.

OMG did a translation for us from the new MILK magazine. #1 on the list. Check it out:

Few things that worth mentioning:

1) HT actually had a Tony's lab proto finished, and the new LED base is from that lab proto. But because of the cost issue, they had to put the lab on hold.

2) HT decided to make MK IV slimmer specially the chest armor for better articulation.

3) Tony head sculpt is still pending. (This sculpt is without helm, meaning the MK IV will not include a open face plate helm)

4) 98% MK IV part are all new develop except the hands and foot.

5)The arms rocket will be exchangeable parts extra forearm may be?

6) MK IV legs are "not straight"

Why do people seem to think the MVI will get the dx treatment!? ..im sure it will be released much later as a regular mms after hottoys have studied everything the suit is capable of doing after seeing the film ..similar in the way 2 how we got the more accurate bd m3 after the film. ..but the MVI kinda goes hand in hand with war machine ..and having them next to each other on a shelf with only one of them being a dx would just be a little bid odd imo ..and the only way to justify war machine getting dx treatment 2 balance it out is if they release a battle damage version ..and that next to a clean MVI DX would look even weirder ..i believe that if any ironman 2 figure is gonna be a dx it will be the Mark V ..it works well as a standalone figure and there could be an extra race suit and Downey sculpt with pers for you to make a second figure by just getting a truetype.

Most likely Mark 5 will only be in the movie for only 3 mins, I doubt that suit will get a dx treatment. I can understand why it would be a good choice. But I still think Mark 6 would be the only suit that would stand a chance of getting the dx treatment. Since I am pretty sure Mark 6 will get damaged in some huge fight scene towards the end, they will probably make him a clean version with battle damaged parts to put on just like the Mark 3 and slap on a dx and jack up the price.

I don't fear the announcement of a dx or bd version of warmachine really 2 be honest ..i mean the paint app and everything we have on him now is perfect not much 2 improve on there ..but its really that i think all of his weapons are on show already ..i don't think he will have anything new that will show in the film ..unlike Ironman ..who knows what surprises he will have weapon wize.
If hot toys are gonna milk this line to the last drop i could seethem do a battle damage m2 with rhodey inside. ..they r hot toys after all

Your welcome to disagree with me, but the paint job on the MIV looks pretty good to me and if the battle damage m3 is anything to go by i think it will be fine, ..war machine may need to be a bit darker imo and i know that matte finished look isn't everyones cup of tea ..but i don't recall him looking shiny like ironman ..so ya thats how i see it anyway.

Include the lab with the MVI DX? ..what would that be then? ..a much larger background type thing that godfather and big chap got... and 2 then add that to the already announced hall of Armour base in multiples ..and jeez id imagine that would cost a bit.

I am sure they will strategically release certain parts to push for even more sales of that and other figures and it just makes business sense and they have done that before. I would not have expected them to make that lab but since the interview indicated that it has been done already it just seem like a a matter of how to benefit from that in the best way. Again MIV and MVI being very similar just needs something extra and being likely the last in the line it better be with a big extra
If the Tumbler can be had for $450 then I am sure the lab be significantly less as it is pretty much 4 of the same "slot" and could be made from just a handful of molds.

When do you guys think we'll actually get these...all of them for that matter? All 3 of my PO's say 3rd QTR...is that really going to happen.

Anyone have a guess from the previous line or Hot Toys history with product? I've only been collecting since December so I guess I don't really know their track record yet.
