Are you referring to a Mark IV or Mark VI?
It's a great sculpt and, in my opinion, better than the Mech Test version.
Mk IV, I don't even remember seeing the Mk VI on their site, and this is the Mk IV thread, right? Trust me, I always look at the Mk # twice. With all these different versions it would be easy to make a mistake.
Also, got my shipping notice from gohastings for the Mk IV today.
They certainly "played" with it as the Tony HS is not on by default, nor are the glasses. The helmet is suppose to be on the body by default.
From I remember many have complained about GoHasting selling displayed units as new but considering that these go for more than retail nowadays you are likely to have paid the same for used, if not more
I use this on all my plastic breakages, it's basically a superglue but has an activator pen for better binding of the glued surfaces. As with all superglues, pay special care to avoid it coming into contact with any exposed surfaces, as it'll make a mess of it.
Wow, bro. I don't know what to say other than, I'm not surprised.Welp, my Mark IV arrived today and I must admit I'm a little bummed b/c Gohastings let me down here as I'll explain. I also need some advice but I'll save that for the end.
The first red flag was when I opened the box and saw how poorly they packaged it. 1 piece of brown paper really stuffed on the left and bottom of the box isn't going to protect all the other sides of the box from bouncing around and possible damage, it appeared like they just didn't care.
I haven't left feedback or anything yet, I wanted to know what you guys/gals would do if you were in my shoes? I mean, odds are nobody will notice it but it irks me a bit. If there's a specific glue I can buy to fix the air flap then I'd gladly do that.
Thanks for reading & any advice is gladly appreciated.
https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92589&page=126Regarding gohastings....I've even read that they will take a figure that they've got displayed at one of their stores, stuff it back into it's box, and sell it as a 'New' item...that is, they will still price it the same as if it was an unopened item.
I'm sorry, but that's not right at all.
Wow, thanks for the info b/c I did not know that about the glass or the Stark head.
Do you know of any specific glue I can use on that air flap piece?
On their Amazon page they have this under 'Product Description': "We carefully inspect every one of these figures before sending out to make sure nothing is damaged. Due to the collectibility and fragility of this item in particular, we cannot accept returns on it once it has been opened. Thank you. "
I wasn't aware that the inspection was actually opening the item, leaving it's lights on for a week while you ship it, and then sell it on your web page advertised as "NEW". Lesson learned.

Yep--Hastings is a complete gamble. Buyer beware.
Wow, Y4NK33 PL4N3T, that sucks beyond measure. What kind of store opens a collectible like this up for display? If I ever went into any store that did that, I think I'd curse the employees out, and then burn the place down just for spite (j/k arson isn't funny, kids )
Doesn't bode well for me, I guess. However, I bought it directly from their website, and I got expedited shipping.
Everybody, keep your fingers crossed for me. It'll be appreciated.
