My Mark IV and VI both came today and wow they are great figures. Loved the design of the Mark VI over the Mark IV in the movie but figures wise, don't know but there is just something about the Mark IV I prefere. But both great figures and glad they are both in my collection.

Battery Removal: Hot Toys Iron Man Mark IV
I posted this message on the OSW site and got no responses, so I'm hoping someone on this site can help me. The problem is I tried to remove the batteries from the back neck post on the Iron Man Mark IV. I was able to remove the screw, but not the plate. It looks like its wedged in tight, although the instructions make it appear that it comes out 1-2-3 (don't they always). Anyway, I tried to push it outwards, but was unsuccessful. I don't want to risk breaking it, yet I really want to remove the batteries. I didn't have any problem removing the batteries for the arms and the chest. It's just the neck that's a pain in the ass. So if anyone has a solution, I would sure appreciate.

once the screw is backed out you should be able to use a very small flat head screwdriver(the kind made for glasses) to wedge into the gap and pry the cover out.I dont have mine in front of me to confirm it,but thats my suggestion.

Mine was really tight. Did the same as bobamike, but can't remember whether I used a tiny Philips head in the screw hole to lever the plate out or a tiny flat head between the plate and neck post. Most likely the latter, just patiently ease it out and you should be right.

A quick tip if you decide to remove the batteries with the little plastic-flap-protection-thingy still there, is just remove the screw, then pull the plastic, and the plate and batteries will come right out!

If the prying is not working without possibly damaging the plastic finish, never forget the oldest 1/6 trick in the book... the hair dryer. It might soften it up just enough.

The problem is that the paint's stuck together on the pieces, not that the cover is wedged in. Mine was the same way. You have to break the unwanted paint seal with some leverage. The small screwdriver approach worked for me. Just be mindful of it, and you'll do fine.

Yeah, I was stumped on how to remove the batteries in the neck too initially.
I thought it was just a matter of opening up the plate & bingo.. but I found that I had to take the neck post out of the socket & remove the head as well so you can get good leverage & access when opening up the battery plate. I just couldn't / don't see how you can remove the plate without completely separating the neck piece from the head & body.
In the process - probably because I was a little heavy handed, I scratched some paint off the neck post trying to detach it from the body.
