Looking back at the first page of this thread, I can't say I personally have any issues with it. I love the way it looks. There might be some slight inaccuracies but that's true of any product based on a film even many full size replicas.

Oh and I drink about 40-60oz (2.5-3.75 pints) of water a day and 2-6 cups of tea.

Ya i love how the figure looks ..the head is a bit funny looking shape wise but hopefully that will turn out ok ..still glad i ordered him even after getting the bdm3.

Tea is such a curse i almost always need to have that or a coffee if im sitting down to watch something.

I find it interesting that almost two months after the official specs released there is still no word on the Stark sculpt. I imagine HT is having difficulties securing approval for a head sculpt similar to the Marlk III battle -damage version.

The Stark sculpt isn't a "deal breaker" for me however, I am curious to see how this turns out.

Same here! I hope we see something soon! When is this supposed to come out? Could be anytime between next month and September right?

The expected release date is 3rd Q which spans the months you mentioned. I hope it isn't delayed. The Mark IV and War Machine are the only figures I have on po for the rest of the year. :horror

I expect more pos since 4th Q announcements haven't really been announced but so far the wants are low with all the announced figures thus far.

Maybe because the stark sculpt is the mech test head with tweaked hair sculpt? :monkey3

What's the issue with getting approval? Is it RDJ or what?

Don't know if there is a problem with approval on this head sculpt. Just having a conversation. I found it curious 2 mos. after the specs we still haven't heard anything. It is following a similar path like battle damage Mark III head sculpt but until HT provides pics it is all chit chat.

I think HT realizes that they have yet to nail his likeness. Hopefully Yulli is sculpting the head and it's amazing.

Well, assuming that they'll include a Tony head sculpt with every Iron Man figure release in the IM2 line, that would give them multiple chances to get it right.

They had Mark 3, Mark 1, Mark 2, BD Mark 3, and Mech Test.. Each step getting closer... :)

I'm pretty sure they want to sell out most of the Mech Test Tony before they release the Mark IV headsculpt photos. If people know the Mark IV headsculpt is going to be even better, a lot of people will not buy the Mech Test Tony, since the head is what a lot of people are most interested in about the Mech Test. It's not perfect, but It's like their first good HT sculpt of RDJ that finally meets HT's usual high standard. The previous RDJ sculpts were just lacking.

Personally I'm getting the Mech Test anyway, I always have liked that design when I saw the movie back when it was in the theaters.

but its a different hairstyle (longer) of tony from IM 1. Tony have shorter, and lighter brown hair in IM 2.

But I kinda agree with you on that, since the average fan couldnt care less bout the hair length and color.

I don't think the average fan is going to buy or not buy a figure just because they want the head.

I am so confused and on the fence about getting IV or not :gah:

I don't own any HT Iron Men, War Machine will be my first anything Iron Man related.

While VI is peanut butter to War Machine's jelly......something about the silver accents rubs me the wrong way....you know, like when a cat accidentlly scratches your nuts...you know what I mean.

The triangle chest RT doesn't bug me so much, although round is what I envision when I think Iron Man.

Ughhhh, it can drive one person to go :panic::cuckoo::panic:

You know, the silver/grey accents on the Mark VI never bothered me. Essentially it's still Iron Man, and I've seen weirder designs and color schemes in the comics.

I liken the mark VI to the first time I saw Keaton Batman's costume. Almost all black with rubber abs. Different from what I was used to.

Who knows? Maybe the Mark VI will live on in future IM movies. Like how the Mark II made a come back in IM2.

So, what I'm saying is...you'll have to buy both the Mark IV and VI, pal. Sorry. :D
