Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

I'll try to take as many pictures as I can when I go down to Bugis tomorrow...sadly because of work commitments I could not queue up for the BD Mark VII...well...seeing this will be a consolation

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

The look of this figure kinda reminds me of the IM Mark 1, but the evil version.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Must have and it look great to display together with the IM Mark VI and the War Machine.
I'm going there on wednesday and need to take some pics on this badass,

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Wonder what is happening with this? He was meant to have an open face sculpt as well and the original leak also stated it would be die cast :gah:

Most of the information I've read about this says it will still be die cast, unless Hot Toys have changed their minds and just hasn't said anything :lol

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

They could still have the face plate open up. And as much as I want this to be plastic... it looks really heavy. Leading me to think it might be die cast.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

An encouraging sign for those who want an all plastic IW.

The ID card for the diecast Mark XVII actually says DIECAST. This doesn't

:lecture:lecture:lecture

No Diecast on it's plate like the other figures. It's probably plastic. The paint ap is giving you guys that sense that it's metal and heavy.

No the original release picture and recent magazine articles stating it's die cast are what is making me think it is die cast :lol

This is going to be one hell of an expensive figure!

No, that article contained information that said they decided to make it plastic due to the design being too complex for diecast. Look at the insane amount of small details it has. I posted this before, I would give a link to the post on OSR where someone translated it but that forum is way too hectic to look through.

Even if it was Diecast, not even half of it would be made out of it anyways.

I had a quick search on OSR, all I could find was someone saying that the translation stated it would be die cast :dunno

I did find this which seems to suggest it might be done in plastic but I can't see anything that backs this up? And his link to the OSR is the same thing as above.

Linky oh linky

If it is die cast but doesn't contain that many die cast parts you just know Hot Toys are going to pump this out with a huge price tag anyway because they are *******s :D

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Hoping for plastic, too, but I do think this is one I'll have to get no matter what.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

of all the figures crying out for diecast this cries the loudest

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Looks plastic to me.

If they managed to get that amount of detail into their Diecast line than bravo to them but it looks like plastic and one hell of a paintjob.
