Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Am I the only one who thinks this looks cooler in toy form than it did in the movie? I thought it was okay, but maybe it just didn't get a lot of screen time. I barely saw the difference between this and the drones. Now, though... the design is amazing, and I can finally see it.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Yeah, I just don't think it was featured long enough to really get a sense of it's design. I remember when I first got the blu-ray, I did a lot of freeze framing to check it out.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Couldn't he just have built this for Justin Hammer? Like, the guy saved his life and got him out of prison. It was the least he could have done.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Plastic or metal, really doesn't matter they still have to paint either of them anyway.
First off, if this paint job makes it through production looking this good, what a great piece this will be.
Second, if that is the case, what a price tag this will carry. Plastic or metal, this paint job will make this figure expensive.

Looks plastic to me.

If they managed to get that amount of detail into their Diecast line than bravo to them but it looks like plastic and one hell of a paintjob.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

A must get for me either way. Will be quite the set up to have this with the Mark VI and War Machine.

I would be extremely impressed if the production paints match this, or even close to this. I think this will be at least $400 now the more I think about it.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Wow!! Whiplash looks insanely detailed!. This will be added to my buy list for sure.

Any clues on when it might PO?

Nope. No official announcement yet but I'm assuming they will announce it soon seeing as they have it fully painted and displayed. Same goes for War Machine Mark 2 who's also on display with this one and was just announced.

Thanks. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the PO.

I am not too happy with the slender look of WM MK2 and since I have IP on PO, I will most likely pass but Whiplash is a must buy without a doubt.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Size comparison. Same size as every other Mark suit.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

With that level of paintwork... and the unique design/engineering to produce a single figure... I'm guessing this will run about $400. Somewhere short of the Iron Monger.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Yeah, looks to be about a half inch taller.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Plastic price $289.99

Diecast price$369.99

Let's see the estimates!
