Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Popularity and sales, my friend.

Remember that cool sandman base that came with black spidey, I think thats as popular as that guy gets and it looks awesome:hi5:

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

and the movie was AWESOME, iono what ppl are saying its crap, just like the gi joe haters, it was a GOOD MOVIE, it has our heros/villians playing on the big screen, then again half the resident evil films are a let down but still think IM2 was great

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Yeah I'm sorry, if people are pining for a Sandman figure, from objectively the worst Spider-Man film, then saying that Iron Man 2 was terrible, I'm afraid something broke somewhere in your brain.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Figures we will NEVER see;
Sabretooth - Wolverine
Sandman - Spidey 3
Venom - " "
John Carter - John Carter
Barbossa - Pirates

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

I'm sure most have seen this. Its actually the 1st page of the general diecast thread. But for the discussion of whether or not Iron Whiplash will or will not be diecast, this is the official statement HT released regarding diecast 1/6 figures.

Hot Toys is going to present a series of 1/6th scale Diecast Collectibles ranging from Iron Man 1, 2 & 3 to The Avengers to fans worldwide! Fans, are you expecting a Diecast Iron Man Mark III, Super Drone (Whiplash Mark II) or any others?

A series of Diecast collectibles is coming soon! Stay tuned!

Between that and the diecast logo on the magazine page with the pic of the proto, I don't have much hope that this will be plastic.

I think a lot of the confusion came from the 40% die cast and 60% plastic.

That was before the recent(ish) article stating that whilst they tried to make it die cast they've now decided to make it plastic due to the complexity of the design.

I reiterate that hot toys can change their mind at any time and this can easily go back to being die cast, but for now i'm assuming it plastic.

Here's the article; its the one OMG translated in the die cast thread so props should go to him for finding it:

Unfortunately a .jpg is all we get so if you want to prove it to yourself you'll have to find a guy who reads Chinese,

it says they are making it 50% diecast 50% plastic because it is harder to make details on metal and it is also less articulated than plastic.

it also says that they are going to remake mark 3 and mark 4 in diecast, you mad?

Sooo...the IW will be half diecast and half plastic?

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

I will laugh if they make it half and half. What a slap to the face to the regular Diecast line when the other mark suits are only 40% diecast. They couldn't even make it half.

Iron Whiplash? according to that picture it will be plastic, because it is highly detailed, something like that.
