Just out of curiousity, which Creed? I'm hoping for an origins version. Visually he didn't look anything like Sabertooth but he had the attitude and that really sold me.

Well I said Creed because Schreiber went by that name, ugly Mane went by Sabertooth.

I'd like to see the Schreiber version myself.... The look could have been closer to the comic version but Schreiber played the part to perfection. Did I just make a rhyme? :D

I'm still hoping they do a DX Wolverine with both his X-suit and his casual clothes, a la DX Cop Joker.

Generally a figure that may not be all that dynamic from a visual perspective can still be highly desirable based on the personality of the character itself... Just not sure that any other X-Men characters aside from Wolverine were able to show enough personality to be made as a figure... Professor X, Magneto and Jean Grey were all VERY bland looking but those are also the three characters, other than Logan, that were featured predominantly in the X films.... at that point it gets to slightly more minor characters in the films such as Nightcrawler, Toad and Sabertooth.... Anyway, I agree 100% with you, Sean. Wolverine will probably be the only offering unless HT throws us a curve ball.

That's what nags me about no Schreiber Sabertooth, he might have been visually ordinary compared to Mane's Sabertooth, but I thought Schreiber played a very interesting character, that's why I want a figure, his portrayal of the character more than his look. Same with Jackman as Wolverine, it was the character he delivered more than his look which made me a fan, the intensity of his aggression, the wit and sarcasm, the ability to have compasison and concern for others and rise above his selfish side.

If they did it for the X-Men trilogy, the casual would be essentially the same as this origins figure, just a different head and a different button down shirt.

If they DX Wolverine, I don't want both X suits but if it ensures getting the one I want, I'd take them offering a DX with both X suits so you can choose which you like more. Though I'd have concerns about Wolverine with PERS, I'm not sure they'd squnt his eyes as much as I'd lke like, but with the angry face that Jackman makes, they're really not that open.

Character development makes all the difference in the world. Essentially the Mane Sabertooth is nothing more than a nice cameo when compared to Schreiber's Creed, who genuinely shared screen time with Wolverine. The animosity is developed and not just implied.

I agree with Maulfan. IMO the older films production numbers will be limited to a single charater perhaps two. The announcement was made 9 mos. ago and HT produced XMO: Wolverine and Blade II. IMO not a lot of motivation on the older films.

HT give me a good Spiderman, Punisher, Hulk and Wolverine (X-Men) and I will be happy. Anything else will be a bonus.

And the announcement came after Wolverine, so really, Blade's the only figure put out so far as part of that big announcement.

I said it (once or twice) how I enjoyed Schreiber's Sabertooth character :D

HT is notorious for incomplete lines as collector's are aware however, regardless how plain the figure the performance needs captured in 1/6 scale. Unfortunately, my faith is really really really gone in hoping to see this happen.

Very true. I recall reading one of HT Pres. interviews and him mentioning something to the affect of getting back to this line.

I understand IM is Marvel and figures from IM and IM2 are being released / announced but I consider them separate old vs new films. I am hoping for some older film love. Perhaps we will see something soon.

Well, I think it's starting to show that HT has 2 parts to their releases. The first being the current movies of the year and the stuff fresh on people's minds. The second, properties from the past that would probably do well for them and allow them to keep selling product between the hot new stuff.

So, 2010's primary focus is on Iron Man 2, Avatar, Titans, etc., and while that's being turned out, we'll get things like T2, old Marvel films, etc.

It's not bad because we still get the older stuff, but if you're more interested in those figures, it sucks because you have to sit and wait while the hype items get pushed out. Like T2 started out strong and now has settled down while the big Iron Man 2 push comes.

Hard to really make a push with the older films when there's no corresponding film, video game, dvd release to go along with the figures. The main, iconic, characters are will sell, but getting second tier figures seems unlikely.

Yes, the casual outfit would be pretty much the same, which would be fine with me. The did the same original Joker outfit with some upgrades. But they could do the white T and blue jacket from X2 when they visit Bobby's parents' house if they wanted to do different casual wear.

And was the only difference in X suits just in the jacket design? Were the pants the same? If it's just the jackets, then I don't see why they couldn't include both versions.

Even with the film fresh, certain characters just don't have sell appeal. Sao Feng may have done well in HT's domestic market but was a bust around the States. That's something we face as international customers though, HT seems to, and rightly so, cater first and foremost to their domestic customers, so sometimes character choices that make no sense to us are made and we miss out on characters we feel more relevant. I can't imagine anyone feeling Sao Feng was more relevant to the POTC story than Captain Barbossa, and yet, Sao was made and Barbossa not.

Pretty much since the POTC line, I've come to have low expectations for character selection and just expect letdowns. After a certain point, i knew Schreiber Sabertooth was just a dream.

If HT made the suit the way it's setup in the film, it's a one piece in X1 and 2 piece in X2/3

You're going to be slightly bitter about the Barbossa omission forever :lol Can't blame you though... I still want more Hellboy 2 figures.

Well, part of that is, of the instances I've seen with HT, it's the most glaring. I could throw out Commissioner Gordon, and it's not a line I care about but I think most would feel Rorshach's THE most important for Watchmen.

That's why I hope a BD T-800 would be the next T2 announcement, it'll probably be T-1000, but the BD figure is something I've wanted since the Sideshow line and I just want to know it's going to happen, even if it takes a year to ship, I just want to know it's being made finally.

I never understood the need for 7 Batman figures, 7 Terminator Salvation figures, 6 Ironman figures representing a small number of characters while blantly omitting important characters in other films.

I am not a huge Watchman fan however, I understand their frustration with the character choices relating to the importance of the story. Ultimately it is a business. Whatever sells and whatever sells to your primary stakeholder's will be produced. Enjoy the characters we get we want and kitbash the other's :D

If any line has went a bit overboard it's Iron Man... 5 Tony Stark figures announced to date with 2 or 3 more coming. Still, if they continue to sell HT will continue to make them.
