I'd be bummed too, bad enough when they do variants, but stings even more when that's all it is, and there's no reason other figures couldn't be done. I understand how tricky Iron Monger would be for Iron Man, but still, a whole movie line of just variations of one character, very boring. Sabertooth is within HT's capabilities.

Completely. A new body or do you think they'd recycle one. I'd see it as a bit of a gamble if they where to take the time and money to make a completely new body for another figure from the same line which, with the movies sales, may not sell well.

No need for a new body, you never see his body, slap a black shirt, pants and long overcoat on a Narrow TT, sculpt a Schreiber head and hands and you're done, just for the sake of some accessory, maybe give him his little needle kit for gathering DNA.

The accessories seem a little week on Sabertooth then. I'm not sure what he'd have besides the needle kit. Maybe he'd be the one to get the extra head sculpt.

True, but the Mark I to Mark III WERE considerably different and they were significant enough to make multiple versions.

True, but it doesn't change the fact that a line from a movie with multiple characters has only one made. You could do Obadiah, or Rhodey, Iron Monger, even the middle eastern terrorist leader. Bottom line, it's a boring line to me when you have just one character, no matter how many variaitons are done and how different they are. There are films where I enjoy one character above all else, but I still like others and collecting them. Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow really makes POTC for me, but I enjoy WIll Turner, Davy Jones, Barbossa, Elizabeth and I have the figures. I was let down when Medicom just made Jack, and even Hot Toys was heavy on Jack, 2 Jacks and no Barbossa, and I felt the same when Medicom made Wolverine only for X-Men 3.

Well, I know Wolverine is pricey, but I wonder if people really think about it when they drop the light on accessories comment. Sometimes, there are figures that just don't have much to include, Wolverine's bone claw hands or another head are it for him, unless you gave him other outfits, a cigar would be nothing really, certainly not when it comes to value for yout $$$, same with Sabertooth, he'd basically just "be", there's nothing really for him to include, but I think he'd make a really impressive looking figure, especially with how Marcus Wright turned out, similar costume designs, swap out heads, change some colors and it's Sabertooth.

I still say the the Terminator Salvation figures where one of the best value for money figures hot toys have released. The amount of things Connor came with and the basically an alternate version of Marcus all for the price of a standard figure.

Most HT figures are good with accessories, some happen to be more involving in their gear than others.

Realistically, the first Connor is a figure and 3 guns, the rest is more decorative add ons to his costume, the equivalent of Wolverine's dog tags.

Really, there's no one from Origins who'd be heavy on accessories, even if you did Stryker or Gambit or John. Wade, maybe, but they'd do Deadpool before Wade, and that'd be a very basic figure.

Not disagreeing with you MaulFan. I WANT more characters. Just wanted to point out why I thought they did that for Iron Man.

Trust me I'm still waiting for, oh let's see:

Johan Krauss from Hellboy
Michael Corleone from Godfather
Ripley from Alien
to name a few

Iron Man is a diverse figure collection visually, for sure, and anyone with them all or a large chunk has a nice display, but I'm just more for character depth. For years, I've just had Hot Toys Rambo figures, hadn't picked up the Trautman figure, finally got it this past summer, and it just makes me feel so much better about the collection having that one other important character in the mix. The 4 Rambos HT made all look different on display, but all the variation doesn't change how redundant it looks, Trautman helps break that up.

Same thing with Origins, could probably come up with 2 really unique Wolverine figures but adding Sabertooth would really make things more interesting.

Thankfully, as I care most about Wolverine, I'm sure we'll get him from the trilogy, but I even wonder how far beyond him they'll go.

If Hot Toys have a general X-men license the I could see them doing a Deadpool from the Deadpool spin off if it ever comes to light. He should be more well received than the Origins potrayle and he'd sell as a fan favourite.

Odds are they'll do a Deadpool from that film just because if he's the focal character, it's their MO to have a figure before you even know how well the film does, if it's a flop, you won't get variants or other characters. I'll be Wolverine was under development before they even knew how the film faired, but he's a safe gamble, even if the film flops, he looks close enough in costume and appearance to the trilogy, which did do well, that people would still buy him. If Wolverine looked totally unique in Origins, unlike any incarnation of the trilogy, might have been a different scenario.

One thing I wouldn't want is Deadpool from Origins...That was not deadpool.

And for the films sake if we don't get this

I will be :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2...yes that's right 5 count 'em...5 sad, lonely monkeys.

I'm not sure what look they'll give him, but I'm pretty sure Ryan Reynolds has been signed to reprise him if it moves forward.

Liev (Sabertooth) is the only remaining figure from the film that is a must......anyone else would be icing on the cake IMO. I agree with another post, a single representation from a line is boring. I am in the minority since I enjoyed the film however, I wouldn't mind another figure (s) from the film. Sadly, I realize the likelihood of that happening being remote. :(

Yup, at this point, the only thing remaining to close the door on hope for other Origins figures is the unveiling of the first trilogy figures, once that happens, I'm tossing in the towel on hope for Schreiber Sabertooth, they won't move on from one movie until they're done with is, they bled T:S to death before moving onto T2, if they move on from Origins, then that's it.

I cannot wait for the Marvel line to get going yet I know it will end all hopes for 1/6 XMO:Sabertooth. Liev deserves a 1/6th representation instead of the cat from the X-men trilogy IMO.

They really conufused Deadpool with Mimic, imo. He was Deadpool by name only. Reynolds was solid casting though and I'm glad they plan to go a new route with the character rather than use Origins as a jumping off point.

Not sure I'd buy Sabertooth. He'd have to look spot on with the teeth showing, kinda snickering. I'd probably buy a Gambit before him. Though I really doubt we see anyone else from Origins at this point.

I've got high hopes for their Spiderman franchise license ................. whenever that happens. Other than T2 nothing excites me more right now.

Physically Mane had the brute that Sabertooth ought to have but he was little more than a background character. Shriber definitely had the attitude.
