I can wait. It usually pays to do so anyway. But I am considering getting the Blade II figure from Toys2, because I want him badly. More so than this guy actually, oddly enough.

I really like these shots.

It really looks like that actor some one posted a while back in these shots. Forgot his name.

Looking good though!

I would say even if you have a bit more experience and control over lighting you can get better pictures. The lighting is the main source of the problem cause I can't imagine that the black of the pleather jacket is not actually black. I am surprised ppl can take pictures at tH cause last time I was there it was forbidden :p

The pic with the glasses looks butt-ugly and blatantly "photoshopped", or is it just me?

The others just look fine and I agree that it´s just the lighting.

First of all, they lighting in the official pics can be controlled. This is just the lighting in the display. Also, the person's camera might be completely different not being able to pick up the tones and subtleties that a professional camera can. Finally, isn't he behind glass? I dunno but when I take a picture of glass it often distorts the colours and with the glare from the display it can make it look flatter than it is.

I can't believe we're even having this discussion, it's the same as when first in hand pics are flooded with flash and people panic that the figure sucks and then they see it in hand and think it's the most amazing thing ever.

Not to disrespect the photographer, but the Toy World shots aren't the best for judging the figure, he looks nice, but there's color imbalances and things that aren't as flattering as pro shots, and the Toy Hunters lighting isn't very flattering either, I can't think of any figure that ever looked super at Toy Hunters, even DX Joker was so-so in Toy Hunters shots.

im still completely happy with the way this figure is looking it's just someone using flash while looking through glass and a cheap camera probably.

Sadly, I can.
It's the reason I don't enjoy going to the DX Batman thread

Yeah, when it's defective I can see some confrontation, but for months before it was even released that forum was filled with people saying the Medicom one is still better. They hadn't finalized the changes it was still using V1 parts:confused:. I'm wondering if this will get any last minute changes.

:lecture

A lesson from an awesome photographer.

Lets not forget, the toyworld pics also has a window between the photographer and the actual figure - if you know what I mean!!

So a dirty window dont help, or does it?!

I goto Toy Hunter twice every week and i can say most of the display figures in Toy Hunter and their photos look the same or super than the final stocks. (e.g. Tony's heads)

I believe the discussion is quite productive. The purpose of the photographer is not for the fans to judge anything as the production not yet start/finish. It gives us additional information to voice out our constructive concerns, if any, to HT before the final stock come out. It's our time.
