the difference in those 2 arnie pics is that one is lit from above and one is lit from below. Below always looks odd.

Oh I just bid for a new New Bright Harley Davidson Fat Boy and made my offer at $60+shipping (originally $50 but rejected) and the seller accepted. But in the meantime I found a very similar Tamiya model for $130 and decided to go that route instead so if anyone is still looking it's still available so you can try your luck.
OK here is what I picked up for .... too much .. but it's local so I guess C$130 is good enough :( It's not exactly the same but I guess it will have to do until HT releases their version

it's also on evilbay
Darn comparing it closer the Fat Boy is Fatter!

Geil, i swear i did see that Tamiya Harley at Ones Better Living store beside Pacific Mall, over where they have all the Gundam kits.New Brite black and chrome Harley Fat Boy is the way to go though.

Oh at Ones? I never go to that place ..... I already bough the other one Tamiya though :( But I go check anyways :) Thanks again Valfar. But yeah so far no luck on finding the black and chrome version of the New Bright

Maybe try that and paint over the yellow? but, meh..just give it a few months and one will pop up on Ebay.I did see one a few weeks ago for like $30 New Brite, i think it was a red fatboy.

Or you could try this V-Rod with working lights, i know its not a Fat Boy and not sure if its 1/6th..looks it.Still would look cool.

Don't forget to check Battery Plus, they have lots of R/C toys.

Oh I checked the first link and based on the picture it is actually 1:9 scale :'( The otehr Fat Boy I have seen! It's actually quite nice looking but not the same as the movie .. too modern! :p but yeah I will keep an eye on the Fat boy and maybe just use my Tamiya for JC :)

Right on, check Battery Plus though and keep a sharp eye on Ebay. The second link is a V-Rod and is nothing close to a Fat boy but!, it would still look kick ass with this figure since it has a working headlight. The Tamiya kit looks like a very old Fatboy and i doubt would look so great with this figure but, would suit the T1 Terminator better.

This is just messed!!, i paid a mere $15 for mine in black.

Yep, there are noticable differences between a dyna and softail. These are 2010 models, but here you can clearly see the differences.

harley002.jpg

Dyna is kinda smoother looking and noticably slimmer. The front is different and dyna has exposed rear shocks.
The models havent changed over the years that much, but judging by the paint job, the one you bought looks like it's a 70's model. The small AMF-logo (American Machine and Foundry Company owned H-D 1969–1981) infront of H-D-logo gives that away.

I think here are a few (built) pics of the model you bought (Tamiya superglide FXE 1200 #16010 with a different paintjob):

In the end it looks very different from the FatBoy.

But as I stated earlier regarding the Tamiya Harley Davidson-kits, they do look far more realistic than the plasticy New Bright RC's.

Nice models! too bad at the prices these go for online might as well wait for HT to release one :p

Then you might have to wait indefinitely because what I've heard Harley is very selective with their Licenses, for example the Tamiya Fat boy was only released in Asia due to license problems.

yeah thanks to your posts I have been digging and I can't afford the Tamiya Fat Bot and this seems closest and affordable. But then I just picked up the Fat Boy as well. :p. Any forums you can recommend on model making as I have never really done it well :p

let's hope HT has some star power and the mention of replica grade HD with realistic Arnie posing for the Terminator franchise will pursuade them as this is certainly going to give them new and more exposure than Tamiya models which is more targeted to existing HD fans
someone start a poll and maybe with same real impressive numbers we
can give HT the right ammunitions to fire with :D

10000 dollars. Thats alot of money!
But do you guys really think we will
se a replica with this level of
detail?

With 10000USD you would be very near to buying a real unused Harley. So, I imagine that you must mean a 1000 dollars, and with that I guess you could also buy some old carcass of a real Harley? So that's just a ridiculous :google. Grazy price.
Cant imagine that this kit would be so hard to build that it would be worth 700USD??? I wouldn't even consider that for a second. Even if I were made of money. I can imagine some enthusiasts taking their models very seriously, but still...

If there ever is a Hot Toys H-D FatBoy I couln't imagine it ever costing more than for example the Bat-pod, which was sold at 240–300USD (depending of the seller)...

With 700 dollars I imagine you would be very intrested of building the kit yourself and enjoying the feelings of accomplishment when it's done and then go laugh at the other dude's face.

Yeah, I meant 1000 dollars :D
This guy is a pro so he will use proper techniques such as washing, drybrushing, shadowing etc. Plus realistic weathering effects. But yeah, its alot of money.

Maybe I wait and see if HT will make one.
