While not my favorite suit, I still like the Mark V's combination of red, silver, and gold. Still a cool look, to me!

I don't have mine to hand right now. What parts are gold? I don't recall it having any gold pieces...

The one flaw on that suit up sequence was cutting away from Tony for the wide shot of the crowd going bananas. I reckon they could have done the whole thing in one shot, starting as it did with him getting the case at his feet, working around to his left, following the suit sealing itself around him, ending in the front with the faceplate going down.

My bad, you are correct. No gold. I thought there was a tiny bit on the legs, near the shins, but I believe I was mistaken. Thanks for catching that!

Although, on reflection, a Gold and red MKV would be cool.

True! But, I guess we have a lot of gold and red figures already, which is maybe why the Mark V stands out as somewhat unique.

A local retailer has been recently in Japan to get some figures (manga since the shop is dedicated 95% to manga). He offers me a IM mark V new (only open for inspection) for $ 300. Do you think that this is a good deal? Thanks!

Thanks for your opinion! My main concern is about the future re-edition in die-cast form (not even announced but I read some time ago that expected...). Not too complicated to improve the actual paint scheme (mainly in terms of update from grey to more silver tone)... It is also true that plastic will allow for more dynamic positions in combination with Whiplash... OK, you see that I have some doubts $300 for this version versus the very possible future re-edition in die-cast

Me too. I'm not buying this fig until we get a die cast reissue or I get a ridiculously good price on one so I won't feel bad if a die cast is announced.

Yeah, this is still my fav normal sized armour. If I could choose one armour to get in diecast from HT (besides Hulkbuster), I think it would be this.
