Oh, I see.

I can certainly see Ledger in the proto of the BR Joker head that difabio posted, but not so much on the actual production ones. It seems the head sort of warp during the casting, IMO.

I'll preserve my judgement for now, until I have the BR v2. But so far, I really like the DX11. It aint no lmaresqd accurate, but in hand, it really have Ledger likeness. Surprisingly it isnt photogenic for some reason.
I actually thought the DX-11 looked a bit worse in hand than in the prototype.

I never use those stupid backdrops. This one is right up there with the craptastic DX 14 Mime Joker background.

The best one they did was the DX Bruce Lee and also the DX 11 interrogation. That's it.

I never use those backdrops tbh. I think it looks kinda cheesy and detracts the display from realism. Might as well print out the figure in 1/6 scale and display em. :lol

Yup, that's the most important thing to remember. Who knows what the final product will look like.

Two-Face went from this,

to this,

Toy Fairs 2011 Batman went from this,

to this,

Yeah, I bought that two face thinking it was going to look like the proto :lol However, I think current figures look a lot closer to the quality of the prototypes.

Thought it was only Indiana and one or two others that fell badly on release? Luke? The majority have came out so close. Well, the Cyberdyne T-800 is questionable.

BRJ was my first HT figure ever, and I would never sell it. Because of that, I initially scoffed at this reveal (mind you, I wasn't mad they're re-releasing it, I think it's a great opportunity for people who never got the first one). But I pulled out my V1 that I haven't moved in my display for almost a year. It's still a great figure, but it IS lacking in some areas by today's standards.
Honestly, V2 might be a viable upgrade. Definitely not going to pre-order it, but if in hand pics look as good as the protos, I might just do it.

The backdrops are handy if you have big displays. Some use them in their glass units.

I do not have either version, but if I had to pick one, I think I'd rather go with the original version. The deciding factor is having a removable mask. I'm not a fan of how it's its own sculpt now. I'll see which one to get as time goes on.

Remove mask and use which headsculpt? None of the offering so far is accurate towards that scene. I personally think the v2 is better, as it has a good tailoring and outfit compared to the v1.

So I wonder when these Toy Fairs Exclusive figures will go up for pre-order.

Usually, HKers will have em first, which is around end of July-early August during Anicom. Followed by SS and the rest of the TF around asia, like Taiwan, Guangzhou, Singapore, Jakarta etc.

Ah yeah that's true. I think they do tend to go up around August or so and ship out in September. That's how it's been the past couple of years at least.

Is it just me or does the clown mask look like it covers too much of the jokers head? For instance, in a profile view of the head sculpt we would see the jokers hair and the mask strap right behind were his ears would be. From the angles provided it looks like all mask. Which if they were going to make the mask non removable, you would think they would get that right.

Too soon to tell. Will judge when in hand pics starts to appear. But so far, V2 > V1 in my opinion.

Is anyone burnt out or sick of The Dark Knight? Or even if they made 20 good Joker's from here on out, you'd still collect them?

Not really, if anything, Im still having the same excitement as I did back in 08. Had there been 5-6 Ledger Joker head expressions that are as good as lmaresqd's available, I wouldve bought and collect em all.
