I think the sculpt is fine. It's just that the paint work is not correct in some areas. There are certain parts that reflect to much light and softness.
They need to sharpen a bit more the skin and highlight a bit more the natural wrinkles. The skin looks too soft...

I'd say, the sculpt is 80% Han...
Too bad is already too late for fixes...

Regards!

Yes, too bad. You could warn them, if only you spoke Hovitos.

I kept try to see where Ford is in this head sculpt and I got a little head ache from it. Hopefully the next two are better.

Geez, this thread is like one big MC Escher painting. No matter where you are, eventually you're going to end up in the same place.

For the record, I don't think either sculpt is perfect, but I really didn't have a problem with either, because I collect Star Wars figures not Actor figures. While it may not look exactly like Harrison Ford, it is without a doubt Han Solo. But, if you don't like it, fine. Don't buy it.

Oh, and there is no way the Sideshow Han is better than this. Anybody who says that is on crack. Seriously, if any company put out a figure looking like that these days, you all would be screaming bloody murder. Don't believe me? Take a look at the QMx Mal thread.

I missed out on pre ordering the twin pack here in the UK as I was waiting for in hand pictures and thought I'd just buy it off eBay from hong kong but to my surprise I can't find it being listed by loads of peolpe like all the other hot toy figures wonder why that is???

Rep'd.

So who's had the balls to cancel? Anyone...? Anyone...? Didn't think so.

I've been holding off placing my order on Han and Chewie, and I think I'll still go forward with Han. I actually like the revised sculpt. It's not as good as I was hoping, or as good as it should have been considering it's from HT. But I don't think we're going to see an ANH Han 2.0 any time soon, so this might be it for a long time.

Chewie, OTOH, is on the chopping block. I was never really happy with the proto, and seeing the presumably production samples at SDCC lowered my opinion even more. The whole face and especially the snout really kill it. Damn shame. So, barring any magnificent in-hand photos, Chewie will have to wait for a re-do someday. Or a great deal.

Don't tempt me, son! :lol

I'm still hanging on to my 10% hope that they will significantly delay this set to get Chewie right. For sure if he looks like we've seen at SDCC, then really I have to cancel and skip Han since without Chewie he's incomplete. Not a big deal to me, though. I actually don't mind waiting for an ESB version. It's tied as favourite for me with ANH, as far as their look goes, so I'll be happy enough to get that version. Definitely won't make the mistake of pre-ordering, though. Bye bye, $48 NRD. :monkey2
