I still think it's got a good likeness to ANH ford.

Hmm, nope, not really seeing it. The nose and basic face structure is fine, but the eyes and mouth just don't look right to me at all.

We just simply need better pictures. It's like beating a dead horse, but he'll look fantastic on the shelf under LED lighting.

It's the chin that's throwing it off for me but i do think it will look better under normal lighting.

The eyes are what is throwing the sculpt. Notice that the real Harrison Ford's bottom pupils "usually" don't touch his lower eyelid. You can clearly see the white of his eyes underneath.
This is why he always has that serious pissed off stare that we are craving. The HT figures eyes rest comfortably symetrically inset and make him appear calm and his eyes smaller than necessary.

No BS, but you can recognize a person just from seeing their eyes and it is the focal point of any portrait. Thats why us art graduates have to be cautious of this at all times.

PERS may actually redeem this figure.

Sorry, this sculpt is off. has a resemblance, but it is not like the Luke sculpt. HT's is missing the mark yet again on this one.

Unfortunately this is probably because HT's artists are Korea based and Trevor is in the US. I doubt HT would be ever liaise with an artist across the world, regardless of talent.
Maybe that's the case, but too bad, if true.

It all depends on what expression he has. I think the new sculpt was specifically made for those cockpit scenes.

I think it really looks like the guy from Airplane.

Good call, Matrix! :D

honestly the ford sculpt is mostly just ok looking. It looks good at certain angles, but mostly for me its those eyes that ruin it. As for chewie i should have known they wouldnt pull it off with real fur.

I was really on the fence about Han but seeing him in person at the convention I thought he looked really good in both of the Falcon dio positions. On his own on a shelf doesn't entirely work due to the expression but he looks a lot better than I thought he would.

Chewie on the other hand I had been trying to convince myself I wanted to order. After seeing him in person there is no way I can buy him. It is not the fur itself that is the problem... it is his muzzle first and eyes second. The muzzle sticks way too far out and looks like some other animal and not like a Wookie. If they were to attempt to fix any figure at this point, Chewie is mandatory. I wanted him so badly but I cannot get this Wookie.

Dang! You just pushed me to 90% likely to cancel, lol. Still going to wait to see in-hand pictures, but it doesn't seem like HT thought this through. Maybe Chewie was a bit too ambitious to start the line with.

I've heard a lot of talk about futzing the fur to make Chewbacca look better, but as Travis states, that doesn't appear to be the big problem here. The Bantha in the room (see what I did there?) is the sculpt...in this case a soft or semi-soft sculpture, but a sculpt nonetheless.

The eyes are set too close together, the muzzle protrudes wildly, and the lips look wrong, although granted the latter could conceivably be fixed.

And while everyone goes on about how difficult fur is to get right...I think back to all the furred and/or plush toys I saw or had as a child and I'm not necessarily buying it.

That muzzle area with Chewie's "moustache" could likely have been done much better, although admittedly it may not have been in the production budget.

I'm sorry, this Han is just OK. I am tired of getting a Han that looks good from certain positions. HT's needs to get this right. Delay this further and go back to the drawing board. Chewie too.
