Sweet mother that's incredible para. :duff

Cheers Tim :duff

That's some master futzing right there! What scene are you going for? Can totally see the Bespin prison scene here!

Thanks! Wasn't going for a specific scene really, just the more general ROTJ look ;)

This is amazing!

Thanks kevchan! :hi5:

Jeez, that almost looks like a picture of the real thing...Man oh man, I hope I can get mine to look half as good as you guy's are doing....

Matt

Many thanks Matt :)

Yeah, think that's my favourite shot, so far. SSC and HT should be giving paramore a commission!

Man that would be great wouldn't it :lol Thanks Invictus :duff

dumb question, what kinda of comb are you using?

Just the little comb Chewie comes with :)

I've just got another chewbacca for the hoth look, I've just put the heads side by side to show you the difference when ones fresh out of the box and the other been brushed.

wow. You already have your 2nd and mine has been stuck in San Francisco customs for the past week. Argh, the arduous wait continues.

Ok, Ive seen ALOT of futzed shots of Chewie, so excuse this question...Alot of you are doing the ROTJ look with the hair, but has anyone futzed him with the slicked back hair like ANH...Or is it gonna be hard to achieve that particular look and still have him look good?....I can't remember if I saw a pic like that back through the pages...

Matt

Para,
Did you have to separate the glue and hair from the chin to get that flowing beard look?

I heard that some had to and this is what scares me.

It's not really glued down, as someone else said, it's more like hairspray holding it in place. As long as you dampen the area/and your finger tips, it'll loosen up fine.

:yess: That's good to hear that it's not actually glued as that made it seem more involved with regard to loosening it up.

Apparently Chewie is now sold out in HK. (Apart from your eBay sellers)

Anyone picking up Chewie, I recommend a small hard bristled make-up brush and some gloss wax.
Becareful not to overbrush, it will turn out looking like brown fuzzy felt. The fur is impregnated with a hair spray like substance, wet the fur and it's posable and brushable with a small brush (brushing over, not through the hair), and by pressing with your fingers. Do not use the HT brush or a brush that separates the strands. If you brush it out you will ruin the natural curl and break-up of the hair, just like with real hair spray. You don't want a fuzzy looking Wookie face. It's artificial hair and to keep it looking real and flowing in the right directions you need to be sure not to bend the strands. Just don't over style it and leave some of the factory setting on the hair, they did a good job, just needs fixing in some areas. IMO. The cross eye look that can be seen on some Chewie's is simply fixed, you just need to futz the bridge of the nose. There are holes into actual the head at the nose side of each eye, you can wet, set, and stick a brush in here to open the eye area and remove the cross eye look, it's actually just a fur problem.

Brilliant advice. Saved for future use when my set arrives. If I could rep I would.

That looks great - saved your comments/instructions for when mine arrives. Great to hear the cross-eyed thing can be fixed and the teasing out of the hair under the chin really covers the protruding snout nicely.:clap
