Im actually anticipating Chewy more for some reason. Which is weird because I have a 'thing' against bothering with real hair on figures. They're both bought though.

I wonder, does the set mean a "two pack" of sorts? Like a massive box with both figures or does it simply mean you just get the two figures in their respective boxes for the $5 discount plus the special accessory?

Just going by past releases, the two-pack will come in its own special packaging, no?

Its really cool to have a high quality version the way I remember it as a kid.

Yeah I own those versions, simply the best SW to own. I finally got ROTJ on its way to me now to complete my set.

Anybody else check out the Despecialzed version of Episode 4?
Its really cool to have a high quality version the way I remember it as a kid.

That's the only way to watch the original trilogy. Screw the SE versions, that was just an excuse to sell more toys.

Yeah, I'm feeling pretty confident that we'll be getting some tweaks to both, too. Really I quite like Han, as-is. It's more Chewie I want modified to bring a bit more of his personality out (and man, I'd kill for a roaring sculpt). At the moment he looks like a generic Wookie to me, but it's early days. Really amped for this set, regardless, though. They just scream Star Wars.

Yeah, someone earlier mentioned a swap-out roaring mouth and it might have been possible to do that (as opposed to a whole second head due to the rest of his "face" not changing much between roaring and closed-mouth) but a second head would have been the cherry on top!

But as much as I see the points people are raising re: Chewie, I would be ecstatic to receive just what's in the new pics. I really wasn't loving Han at all, but the new pics have really made me see the likeness (not ANH though...) Getting very excited for both now...

After reading through the many pages of this thread you start to lose sight of what's actually happening. Sometimes it's good to sit back and appreciate the fact that Hot Toys are actually making such highly demanded and anticipated characters.

Not why folk are worried about fur coming off? It's just long furred toy fabric? Like cheap teddy bears and plush toys are made from? Toys from the 60's are still perfect. It's not rooted fur or anything just plush a plush fabric suit.

a) you're talking about TOYS designed to be rough housed to some degree over time - &
b) older toys were generally made to last anyway.

DX means PERS, so it won't be an armoured character.

I have a hard time thinking of a character that could truly benefit from PERS except maybe Yoda. I am glad that they didn't do that with Han Solo.
