Is that a pic of your set or just off ebay?

I'm noticing that subtle white dust on a few parts of Han's vest in the pic. It's a really weird thing that keeps coming back no matter how many times I wipe it off of mine, and I bought another vest off ebay long ago and it had the same issue.

I always wonder if it's a mold or some kind of slow chemical/fabric/dye reaction like with his shirt turning yellow on the seams near the wire. It seems to occur on the most folded/sewn areas of the vest, (I recall the sewing alignment "dots" marks on some Leia Hoths, so maybe there are marks under the Han vest's fabric and the dye coauses the white) Mold seems unlikely because I'm pretty careful with humidity and temp control.

I'll check the figure out cause I never noticed the subtle white,but maybe it magnifies in the pic.

Yeah, it's sometimes hard to see even in hand and under decent lighting. It's almost like you had a tiny bit of flour on your fingers and you handled the figure.

It wipes off easy enough, but it returns a few months later, even if you gently wash the vest in soapy water. I may try a wash of isopropyl + water next time. Vinegar might stink it up a bit too much but that might work too because it kills mold (if this is mold, which I'm not so sure about.)

It's minor for sure (nothing like pleather deterioration etc.) but definitely one of the weirder things I've seen in 1/6. The fact it's on a figure that's known for the shirt discoloration (which has not yet happened on mine btw) makes it even stranger.

I would just wait. We've all waited this long, HT is bound to make them within the next few years. Plus, the HT engineering has improved leaps and bounds. I really don't want to overspend on outdated figures.

Yeah, that is what I will do, I guess. Maybe we'll get Chewie in Mando S3 and we'll get him then...

First three SW releases, and all still top notch. Stormtroopers and Han/Chewie are still among my top 10.

Agreed! I even took a video of me opening up the Han/Chewie 2-pack when it arrived. It still drives my son crazy when I play the video. And no, I won't post it here...

, gotta share that. I got fooled by Freaks into buying the figures separately as the talk was that Hot Toys would keep improving on Chewie, so I figured I would end up selling this ANH version down the line at some point. That clearly did not happen.

Yeah, gotta say I dodged that same bullet !! Still remains one of my favourite sets as well.

Just looking at that mint in box picture reminds me of that feeling of awe how good it looked when you opened it up !

Then of course all the talk about futzing Chewies hair. The good old days

Definitely one of the best sets from Hot Toys. Just getting a faux-fur Chewie was mind-blowing.

Don't forget that tiny comb that was included!

I really hope they do a new release of these two from the OT be that ESB or RotJ. I missed out on this set and they’re a glaring omission from my collection.

you might have to ask around as there no longer for sell. i saw one pop up on ebay before some time last year. maybe check on these forums to see if any one want`s to part with it.

As grevious said they're not really available anymore unless Jnix wakes up from his dormant period and does another run (he's done a few). Originally it was around $100 unpainted and $200 painted. But they go for a bit more now on the after market.

Why do you think that would put you in the minority? They’ve only made two Chewbacca figures and it’s either this or the TFA abomination.

Not counting modding, there’s no majority/minority opinion with Hot Toys Chewies. You’re either right or you’re wrong.
