1/6 Hot Toys - MMS 262 - Star Wars Episode IV - 1/6th scale Chewbacca Collectible Figure

At a VERY reasonably price, I'd buy one for the WTF factor.

The WTF factor is increased in my display - I have one Detolf, one per shelf - not a big collection, but figures I consider iconic - TDK Joker, Fett, how2work's Mickey Mouse, and (for now) my 1:1 Guy-Man from Daft Punk helmet.

So having Jar-Jar as one of my 4 "iconic" figures would be fun.

How2work Mickey is one of my absolute favorites! The fact that it is based upon the walk around characters is epic. I am all about the iconic figures as well...chewiei is make than welcome in the collection.

No harm in getting this version and selling it down the road for the new one if it is better. At least have and enjoy a Chewie in your case for a couple of years. (Or longer!)

I wouldn't be surprised if this was their only Chewie. There are tons of characters for HT to do and variants are down the road a ways. Plus, if anyone is getting variants it'll be Luke/Han/Leia. Besides that, HT will be knee deep in Episode VII figures a year and half from now. So yeah, I'd jump of this Chewie if I were a big fan.

It's true - you gotta wonder if they'd want to do the QC nightmare all over again with Chewy V2... and for what, a ROTJ bouffant or greying/thinning-hair EpVII version?

I'd say the ANH hair is bouffant - combed up over his head.

ROTJ is way more like Big Lebowski 'whatever man' flopping down style.

There's something right about the face, and something WRONG about the face. Can we get a side by side with a screen shot someone?

And there is something about the eyes that look like the ones they use for PERS.

Nah - if you mean it's just the lighting, the whole face is skewed in one way or another; excessively sunken eyes, weird lips, proportions slightly 'smooshed'.. yeah.

And there's the rub with creating sculpts from pics, that's an odd looking Solo.

Damn! I was starting to feel really good about this whole thing and along comes reality.

But still, some tweaks here and there on both Han (in the form of a new sculpt) and Chewie and this could be one of the best releases ever.
