Still think this thing will be incredible in hand. 1/6 Chewie with fur...we all thought it was impossible.

I also think this will be amazing when released. Potential QC issues aside, all they have to fix is the mouth sculpt and depth of eyebrow, forehead. Both of which should be easy enough to customise, if they don't improve the production model.

Thanks for the comparison picture. Now I know what's trowing me off on the Hot Toys Chewie.

Its the part of the eyebrow that making this figure looks like a gorilla. They are just bulging too much. And the distance between the upper lip and the nose is a tad farther.

Eh, I still think the pink lips and dark fur are the biggest problems. The general shape of the head looks pretty good to me.

Chew looks sick (literally) in those pics. Droopy eyes, dry nose. Those lips too! Man those need work. I got some work to do when this comes in.

I agree, simple mods. They will make a huge difference.

Yeah if the final figure looks like that, I think it could be easily improved to look like Chewie. The question is just whether the final production figure even ends up looking that good to start with.

Not sure. Just thinking a very light comb thru of hair dye and a wet sponge to "rinse " it out. Or maybe a light layer of mohair placed over top surface of the face ? Start the hair in the center under where his nose is and glue the nose back on Or ill just leave him the hell alone lol
