Man, I just spent the last HOUR trying to get those batteries in my Vader. ClipperKing was not joking -- it's MADDENING!!!

So here's a helpful HINT: use your own sturdy tweezers. Also, go SLOW and be PATIENT!

The belt boxes are the worst of course. I got one done in 5 seconds, but the other was a complete struggle. Batteries popping out, flying everywhere, won't go in, won't stay in place, end up upside-down -- instructions don't give you a clue how they need to go. Very, very -- VERY -- maddening.

I have to say: the electronics in VADER stink. Hope they do away with them entirely for future figures -- maybe keep the light-up saber, that's about it.

The VOICE is very loud and very clear -- it's great -- but getting at it after 15 mins is troublesome to say the least.

Trying to dig for that little switch on the back under TWO separate body suits AND a ROBE AND a CAPE!!! I did a little trick -- folding up the undersuit in back for ease of access -- and I still have to feel around for the switch so much that I mess up any good futzing/pose I put Vader in.

And trying to switch on the belt boxes is a chore too -- switches are so small and are recessed as flat as the box itself -- I need a pin to switch them one.

NOT WORTH IT!

***In fact, I have a spare Sideshow Deluxe light-up belt -- I think I might switch out the difficult HT one for the Sideshow.
that`s what am planning to do. at least ss got that right and made the switch long enough to where you can find it. is the ss anh vader chest box any different then ht version in style?

SS deluxe belt boxes are nice but non anh screen accurate. There's not the red rings around the six button. But if you don't notice that....

Loving this Vader - he has the bulk that the Sideshow Vaders have been missing. But this sound feature is frustrating as hell. I put the batteries in - tested it - worked great. Dressed him back up - tried it - no sound. Opened him back up - pulled the batteries out and put them back in - sound works great. Dressed him back up - testing the sound as each new piece goes on - works every time. Leave him overnight - come back, try the remote - no sound.

:lol

That's what people said. Apparently there's a 15 minute auto shut off feature -- which can only be reactivated by switching the back button off and on again, same with the remote.

Be OK if you could find that molecular-sized switch under all that clothing.

Not sure what the easy fix is here other than cutting a hole in the clothing in back -- or somehow extending the trigger so its easier to find -- or both.

Electronics aside -- THIS VADER IS AWESOME!!!

man , it coming down to the wire with this guy

i hate the cape stitching, i hate the hands, i hate the useless design of talking feature , hate that you have to mode it to reduce the gap between the code , chest box and Chest plate, and most of all the high price of it with all its flaws .... but ill probably pull the trigger on it next month :slap

Should have this in 2 weeks and emcon is in uk in april so i just grabbed 2 tickets for that
and will get dave prowse to sign my box from this and dx07 vader helmet
