I tried to get some of the dents and nicks from this pic in there. I'm not 100% sold of the matt finish on the helmet yet. there are so ma y conflicting pics out there, screengrabs from the film. ugh.

Well Think I am getting very close to the proper look for the helmet and the shoulder armor. Took off the dome, painted the inside of the eyes red, lowered the dome and put it on asymmetrically, did a lot of repaint and weathering like in the movie. What do you think?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1453892598.669990.jpg

Impressive! "This will be a day long remembered" And it certainly will be by me! Excellent weathering and a brilliant template for others to futz to![emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2]

Wow. Looks fantastic. I am going to "attempt" to copy this with my spare helmet.

Amazing job. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys. Here is the full figure. I did:
-repaint and weathering on the helmet
-slight buffing of the satin, just like the movie
-removed the dome
-painted the inside of the eyes red
-removed ribs on dome and sanded down the top of the 'head'
-reglued the dome slightly asymmetrically
-weathered and repainted the armor
-wired up the belt boxes and voice system to 4,5 dc adapter
-redressed him with cod as high as it could go
-chest box attached with double sided tape right underneath the armor
-weathered the belt, boxes and buckle
-removed the wire from the robe and added a heavier one along the bottom of the robe
-weathered and polished the shin armor
-painted all the hands flat black
-used double sided tape to really attach the glove to the hand seamlessly
-weathered and repainted the chest box
-did a lot of futzing and water treatment to get it to sit right.

Looks fantastic!

If I am to understand correctly, you buffed the dome? Can you share your method and what you used?

Thanks!
